| ORCRC Top Truck Challenge
Figured I'd post this here, too. This weekend (Nov. 8th) we will be holding our first TTC. The courses will be along the railroad tracks that my family owns. I think you will be amazed at how close I came to replicating the actual TTC courses that you have seen on video. We have Jeff (Schlabinski) photographing, and Brett (Toyofast) video taping the competition so it should be amazing. Here are the competitors voted in by members of ORCRC. Listed in no particular order.... Competitor #1: Jeremy Black Toyota Competitor #2: Tim Samuels Dark orange Bronco Competitor #3: Chad Hand Red formula Toy Competitor #4: Dennis Young Green Chevy Competitor #5: Ryan Gerrish Black/Rust Orange 4-Locked Chevy
Competitor #6: Mike Black White tuber Competitor #7: Devlin Shipley Red Tuber/SCX-10 Competitor #8: Dan Coop Black Toyota Truggy
Competitor #9: Josh Red FJ-40 Competitor #10: Jason Kaiser Black '56 Chevy This should be REALLY fun, and will help me gauge what it's going to take to pull this off in Montana. Stay tuned for updates, pictures, and videos. *Edit* Here are a couple video clips of the courses. Frame Twister sneak peek. There will be a big water hole, mud, and logs at the end of the course. Tank Trap sneak peek. Each hole on the course will have water and mud in them.
Last edited by War Pig; 11-29-2009 at 05:39 PM. |

I should be okay.... I'll have my kool-neato-hat with me to help. I have faith in the PNW weather that it'll be "mild" when the cameras are out. | |

Well, it was a long day but here are the results. I'll make some more comments later, and I'm sure the guys will post a bunch of pictures in the next couple days. We had a couple guys drop out so the competitors don't match the pictures from the beginning of the thread. Basically Dennis and Devlin replaced Steve and Keven. Frame Twister: 1. Chad (1:15) 2. Devlin (1:34) 3. Ryan (1:51) 4. Dennis (5:04) 5. Josh (7:54) 6. Mike (DNF) 7. Jason (DNF) 8. Tim (DNF) 9. Dan (DNF) 10. Jeremy (DNF) Obstacle Course: 1. Tim (1:47) 2. Chad (2:11) 3. Ryan (2:21) 4. Devlin (tie) (2:53) 4. Josh (tie) (2:53) 6. Dennis (2:56) 7. Jeremy (4:11) 8. Mike (4:30) 9. Jason (DNF) 10. Dan (DNF) Mini Rubicon: 1. Chad 2. Tim 3. Dennis 4. Devlin 5. Jeremy 6. Ryan 7. Josh 8. Jason 9. Dan 10. Mike Truck Pull: 1. Jeremy 2. Tim 3. Dan 4. Mike 5. Chad 6. Devlin 7. Ryan 8. Jason 9. Josh 10. Dennis Hill Climb: 1. Ryan 2. Dennis 3. Jeremy 4. Mike 5. Tim 6. Devlin 7. Jason 8. Chad 9. Josh 10. Dan Mud Bog: 1. Ryan 2. Dennis 3. Devlin 4. Tim 5. Jason 6. Chad 7. Dan 8. Jeremy 9. Mike 10. Josh Tank Trap: (Double Points) 1. Dennis 2. Devlin 3. Ryan 4. Tim 5. Chad 6. Jeremy 7. Jason 8. Josh 9. Mike 10. Dan The final scores: 1. Ryan (61) 2. Dennis (59) tie 3. Devlin (59) tie 4. Tim (58 ) 5. Chad (55) 6. Jeremy (42) 7. Jason (30) 8. Mike (29) 9. Josh (28 ) 10. Dan (20) An amazingly close top 4...only separated by 3 points. I'd say that SCX-10's work pretty well, don't ya think? Can't wait to see the pics. Later, Tim.
