Well I drove up that way today hoping to get some practice in at Chilohowee, but the road is blocked where Grumpy's used to be. Right at the road that goes to Benton. I think I could have gotten to Chilohowee on the gravel road, but I stopped to talk to the road guys. There were two guys camped out at a dumptruck keeping spectators out and letting residents in. I asked one if you could get to the whitewater center from the other side coming in from Copper Hill. Hea said they have it blocked off before the WWC and that you can not get to it. Stacey... you may want to call in the morning to verify that. I read in the paper today that they have to make sure the mountain wont slide again before they will even start working on the clean up. Still looking at 3 weeks or more :-( |

With the slide and us maybe not being able to get to the WWC, maybe we should comp at another spot and go to the WWC in Dec?

Stacey and I will look into it and post up here ASAP. Stacey knows the area down there better than allot of us,he may know a back way in. If it comes down to another location,my back yard is open. Just have ALLOT of leaves to move. We can do it though. I've not been to Ron's spot, only seen a few pictures. From what I've seen,it looks great. I'll let guys that have been there say weather it's big enough for a bigger group. If it's big enough,I'd be game for that location as well. We did Northshore last month, that's out. There's a testing facility for Tennessee offroad over around the Cookeville area,I'd like to look into that. Might be a good spot and a bit closer for our drivers from the middle of Tennessee. |

I vote LRC. Just 1.25hr drive from Chattanooga and the most awesome comp spot ever. Competitors will not be disappointed with this spot that's for sure |
