| " POLL " Dates for 2010 OK, guys. It has been asked many times to move our event forward 1 or two weeks to catch a little more sun and possibly use a holiday for travel. SO, what I would like to know is, what dates work better for all. Keep in mind, this is a 3 DAY event and you will want to be here all 3 days. What has worked best in the past is to arrive on thursday and go home on monday. So please vote and feel free to post comments about dates. thank you. Unimoger 1. May 21-23, 2010 OR 2. May 28-30, 2010, using memorial day as a travel day to go home. Last edited by Unimoger; 11-16-2009 at 09:24 PM. |

I think Memorial Day weekend would be fine. It would be nice to have it as late in the month as possible so the snow is all melted.

I voted the 1st weekend. For those that drive from afar, traffic can get dowright BRUTAL on Memorial Monday...Whether it's I-5 or I-90. |

I voted for the Memorial Day weekend only because it means more time to build and likely nicer weather. However, two big drawbacks for myself. First is traffic as mentioned (I think the Friday of that weekend is Victoria Day up here, so I'd get it going both ways!). Second, since I doubt my family wants to come with, having it on a regular weekend means my son would be in school on the weekdays making it a bit easier/more palatable for my wife. Either one in the end will work. |

I voted for the 21st-23rd. If it's held Memorial weekend, the traffic for those that are driving might be a PITA as well as a nightmare for those flying. Gas prices will be higher, airline tickets will probably be higher, motel/hotel will probably be more expensive also, since it's a holiday weekend If it's held on Memorial weekend and if I attend, I'll have our RV and quads there and I live 3 hours or so away. So, most of what I mentioned above won't affect me |

I voted Memorial weekend. It would be hard for me to take a four day weekend close to a holiday weekend. Even with the extra traffic having a holiday to use for travel would make it easier for some people to be able to attend.

I am voting for Memorial Day because Tyler had a Jr Drag race on May 24 this year. I am assuming that since they did it the weekend before Memorial Day in 2009 they will do the same in 2010. Bandimere has not posted the dates for the 2010 Jr Drag series yet so I hope I don't get burned. |
