| 801RCC '09 Comp #11 "Santas Rock Rash" 801RCC '09 Comp #11 "Santas Rock Rash" Last comp of the year!! -when- Dec 12th '09 -12/12/09- 9-9:30 Course setup 9:45 Pics and drivers meeting 10:00 Competition starts -where- NAME: Black Rock LOCATION: just west of the SL marina TERRAIN: small to large jagged boulders, sand TRACTION: very low to extremely high Black Rock is just west of the marina @ the great salt lake. Take the Saltair exit head west on the frontage road north of the freeway. Follow it about a mile take the dirt road on the left and you cant miss. This last year in crawling has been an amazing year with all kinds of new stuff and some of my favorite memories. With the end of the year here and the cold weather setting in, this comp will not be for the mild crawler. In past years comps this time of year are often subject to snow and freezing temps, so If you think you're hardcore enough, and your setup is good enough come on out and show us what you got. Of course there are some that are crazy and would just come for the fun and the memories. Come Join 801RCC at another great R/C crawling event. 801RCC uses USRCCA rules http://www.usrcca.com/usrcca_rules_2009 this is a FREE comp and open to anyone running a USRCCA legal 2.2 or 1.9 rig Last edited by NaZ-T; 12-04-2009 at 10:36 AM. |

"Swoosh" (that is the sound of a sweep... ) I hope you guys can bring some game cause you're going to need it!! |

Well, I had a blast!!! I thought the courses were awesome for a winter comp very challenging yet very doable also. They weren't easy, I didn't see one flawless run, you really had to earn your score. It was cool to have a bit of snow with a bit of dirt mixed in to really mess with your traction. I saw some impressive driving. I had a blast hangin out by the fire with everyone. J-rad, Tuner, Bob and I sat by the fire and shot the sizz for over an hour after everyone had left. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Thanks to the judges. These guys are dedicated to crawling, Special, Bob, and Colton, all spent the day Judging and didn't even compete. I can't thank everyone enough for all the help with the comps through out the year. I also want to thank everyone that comes out to support 801RCC each month. Thanks. Here are the scores 2.2's 1.9's |
