I personally would like to be done by 3 or 4.

Yeah Patrick and I like to have fun at these things, and for some reason we have some decent turn outs. But running from place to place takes a lot of fun out of it.

JC if you really want to get done fast hop in line and get done. I finished all the courses at RR by 1:30 or 2:00.

I'd like to see 10 gate courses at 5 minutes to keep the guys who want to shoot for nationals sharp. This way, we know what to expect when we get there.

What about a deadline? Say if scores aren't in after 3 hours(or however long), you get a 50 for every course you haven't completed. Granted being in line for your last course would be an exception, but this might make people think twice about standing around bs'ing until everyone else is done. Just my thoughts, you guys already do a good job

Caseys right, seems everyone wants things speeded up a lil. I told partrick that Joe and I would help set things up. I'm sure we could run 1.9s or Supers for you guys, that away you could focus on other things. I'm sure you could be starting finals by 3 or 4ish.

Sounds like you guys want a rock race.

Whats wrong with standing around bs'ing haveing a good time? Isn't that why we do this?

Faster and faster, the fun is being taken out of this.

I say just number the sheets 1-40 or so an when you tech in your # will be assigned allready for your first course to start, then free for all there after. This just keeps people from sitting around untill 12 or getting to many people starting on the same course at one time. I also like the idea of 4-10 gate 5 min courses per class an no finals, but thats my opinion so don't flame me

How about a "judges skip the line" rule like at Rocas Rojos? That might give people more incentive to judge. I would much rather judge all day than wait in line all day, but doing both sucks.

Ty, Pat, if you need any help let me know (warning: you probably shouldn't let me set up super courses )

I'm all about a lil BSing afterwards, but I don't have to drive hour and a half. I'll bring the supplies for a lil party.

Please, 10 gate 5min 2.2 courses, so much fun

Sadly I have to agree. I go to these comps to hang out with friends I don't get to see often, play with toy trucks and BS. Not feel pressured to run to all the courses as fast as possible to try and finish early. Hell some of the funnest comps I remember finished after dark.

Sparky since you brought it up you now have a job!

You can make sure all the courses have equal amounts of people waiting in line to run.

Here is the plan:

8:00 Registration and tech for ALL classes
8:30 Comp starts 2.2 will run first, 4 courses 4 minute time limit

* I am figuring 5 minutes per truck 40 trucks-4 minutes on course, 1 minute to transfer score sheets=200 minutes/3 hours and 20 minutes to run all the 2.2's.

Soooo, around

12:30 2.2 finals.

*2.2 finals I am figuring 5 trucks running 5 minute courses, so roughly 30 minutes.

1:00 1.9 and super runs 3 4 minute courses.

*25 1.9's and 15 supers,=40 trucks at 5 minutes, same deal 3 hours 20 minutes.

4:00 1.9 and super courses finals.

5:00 end of day.

I plan to have 1.9 and super courses set and hopefully started before the 2.2 drivers end so that will speed things up a bit, but there will be the conflict of drivers running all 3 classes and possible ones in 2.2 finals.

And then the problem of judges. I usually always judge, and that does slow the process down when I am trying to run my rigs, keep things on track, tally sheets, and work on course. So I could I guess stop running my rigs and only run the event.

How does all this sound to you, am I wrong on my figures?

Patrick

Looks good I can judge for supers/piss ants. I sold my piss ant so there shouldn't be a time issue for me.

Patrick, doesn't sound like fun for you:-( You should get to play also. I will also help to judge 1.9 and Supers, if ya need I'll help judge 2.2s. I just wanna pay a lil attention so I can defend my home territory. I'm sure we can round up a enough help so that you can run.
