Default THE MURRELL TROPHY-March 27-Grapevine, Texas

Saturday, March 27. 10:00 Drivers meeting, 10:15 start. Murrell Park in Grapevine Texas.

Map to location:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&rl...-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Here's the premise:

Teams of 2. $10 entry per team ($5 a person), winners take all.
-Lowest turn motor allowed is a 35t. no brushless. no multispeed transmissions.
-Entire course counts for time, points are only added for hitting gates and employing the use of a non-competitor recovery vehicle. When one team member hits a gate maker it's dead for the whole team.
-Teams must navigate from gate section to gate section by any means possible.

10:15 am--LastChanceQualifier--"King of Murrell"
A 10 gate course. Same penalty rules apply as the trophy BUT scale points do not count. Scale points will be assessed AFTER the team event (trophy) is finished. Finishers that do not already have a team mate will be paired up by their solo course score. Those that have a team already assembled before the event will NOT be required to run the solo race, however a trophy will be provided to the winner along with their pick of starting position for the trophy.
Example of team pairing: First place finisher does not have a teammate-Second place will be their teammate. If second place person already has a teammate, the next finisher without a partner will be their teammate. So on and so forth. **The KOM race is only open to entrants of the Trophy event**

THE MURRELL TROPHY
-20 gate sections (1 entry gate 1 exit gate). A LONG and EPIC trail.
-Team cannot progress to the next gate section until both rigs are through the exit gate.
-No points added for winching, however the winch lines must be disconnected in order to move to the next gate section.
-Ramps, ladders, chains and other recovery equipment are recommended, and will count as scale points. These items must be re-mounted to the vehicle before the team can progress to the next gate section. The use of these items comes without penalty.
Winches may be affixed both front and rear of a vehicle, and both may be used at the same time.

All applicable scale rules will follow the scale class guidelines set forth by txrcrca, and scale points count to reduce your time (max 25).

1st Place: Trophies and cash
2nd Place: Plaques
3rd Place: Good luck wish
