Had a blast yesterday thanks to Steve and the rest. Looks like I've got a lot of work to do this summer to keep up with you guys.

| I had a great time Saturday. First comp I've been able to attend in a while with my crazy work schedule. Hoping that'll change soon. I'm glad everyone was able to come up and a few new guys were able to make it. I know it's a drive for most, but anyone is welcome just about any time if they wanna come up and crawl. |

How many people ran scale? the reason I ask is I live in oak ridge an I'm thinking of buying a crawler I'm between the losi comp or the honcho.

We don't comp with the scalers. Most just bring them to play around with after the comp.

| Harvo and I both had Comp Crawlers but got rid of them due to durability issues. If you think you may want to compete I would look seriously at the Axial XR-10. It is an awesome truck. There are a ton of parts for it both stock replacements and hop-ups. We both just made the switch from the berg to the XR-10 and haven't looked back. We both kept the bergs in case we didn't like the XR-10 but it is an awesome truck and the only thing I will ever comp with now. My berg will be going up for sale soon. I've seen SCX10's set up good that could do very well in the sportsman class..... or..... The guys that do have scale trucks in ETRC, I bet if you talked with them and there was enough interest, we could set up a couple "scale" coarse's for y'all to play on. If it's just for fun or an actual points series, could be fun. I'm sure my son would love to run that class...... Heck, I may run my Bastard Jr. in that class. I agree with Scott and most probably would. If you wanna run comps, the XR10 is where it's at. Box stock, it does very well. Some rumors of weak parts out of the box, but I don't buy it. My son has been beating his hard since Christmas without the first failure, it's completely 100% box stock. He's not a very technical driver either. This comp was the first he has run his XR10 in. I do believe it's the best finish he's ever had. Heck, he might have even beat me. Last edited by Reflection; 04-04-2011 at 11:50 AM. | |

It was allot of fun, was good to hang out with some of the people that like me do not get to make every comp. I always hate when myself or anyone else does not get to make a comp, I miss everyone allot on those occasions when I cannot make an event , but maybe the economy will pick up and everyone will get back where they need to be financially and we can all get back at doing what we like to do. So, with that said and a big congrats to the cherry finals competitors ( Chris and James) I will see allot of you at ECC, and if not then hope to see you at the next ETRC comp.
