Default Sunny Day On the Summit

Another GREAT comp up at the Summit !!! All the rules issues aside, which will need to be addressed prior to the next comp, it was a beautiful day for a comp.

Running three classes at a single comp was a stretch, I'd like to run at least 3 sages per class. We may need to put someone in charge of each class, this could help reduce down time between stages.

Time for me to get off my soapbox and post some pics !!!!!

The Usual Suspects

Kevin drops in

Chad rounds the bend

Tony squeezes through

Brian poppin wheelies

Rick's dropping in too

Chad-

Ok, the date and location are set for the next comp. We will have our next comp on May 21rst at the Summit. The flyer's for the hobby shops will be in digital format and I will post it once I'm finished if anyone else would like to circulate them as well.

Rules will go back to our regular rules for the rest of the points series run. We'll talk about any changes if any when the new points series starts. I apologize for making this decision without a group vote, sorry.

Mike, great photos!

Tell me what you guys think of this ad to distribute to the hobby shops. Also take a look and see if there are any errors. Sorry, I looked around for some really good pics of one of our trucks for a while. I couldn't find anything as good as the pic of CSR's truck I had.

Its ok but two things could be better. The first is the font on the title is less full than the font overlaying the picture so it doesnt read from top to bottom. Second the (The summit @ south mountain) could be left justified so the contrast of the black on white rock makes it more ledgable.

Hey kev I know that you were the first to post up the evx shorting mod. Question on those evx speedcontrols. Can you really run 14plus volts straight into the single imput? Also do you think 1.5 amps bec could handle a single servo at competition level performance or do you think I need to run a 5 volt tap off my batteries?

Chad-

I'll take a look at those issues concerning the ad. The internals of the evx run the batteries in series, so if you run them in series outside the evx with one connector or have the evx do it for you it does not mattter. I think the BEC on the evx should be more than enough for one 645mg or similar.

You probably can't see the modified font type on your machine because your system doesn't have the fonts on file. Here is how the ad looks. Also thanks to Jay for sending me some cool pics of local trucks.
