********** Current weather prediction is for 72 and 0% chance of rain...GREAT WEATHER! ***********

Our original third competition was set up to be at the Spartanburg Fairgrounds but we got rained out. This is the make up for that event, however this event will not be at the fairgrounds, but at Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC.

We will run three courses of at least 7 gates each. The time limit will be determined during course setup, but more than likely 5 minutes per course. The top 5 drivers will run a finals course.

Course setup: 9am
Drivers meeting: 10am

Courses open immediately after drivers meeting.

Instead of the typical free crawl setup letting everyone run whichever course they want whenever they want, we will change things up by splitting everyone up into three groups at the drivers meeting. This will be done using a random method. I will make up a sign in sheet and randomly assign a course number to each sign in slot and that information will be on a separate sheet so that it can be used after everyone has signed up to let everyone know which group they will be in. So basically when you get teched and sign in you will be picking a group, but you won't know which one or for which course AND it won't be visible to everyone signing up.

There will also be a 5 minute limit enforced on the courses. If a course is left vacant for 5 minutes any driver from the group presently running that course that hasn't run the course will be given a 50 for that course. The judge for that course will announce that the time limit is about to run out as a warning before it actually does run out...preferably at least 30 seconds before it does.

I think this comp will be fun...it's a nice place that most people wouldn't think would exist where it does, and it's also great for scalers...just get them waterproofed first! If you're debating on bringing the family, don't think twice...there's walking paths, benches, picnic pavilions, shops downtown within walking distance as well as restaurants. The only thing that isn't as close as I would like are restrooms...but you can't have everything!

I pLan on being there if i can get my car back together in time my esc and motor should be back from novak by friday.

I plan on coming... to.. I think it'd be nice for the guys without dig to have their own sportsman class. But I'm all in either way.

Ya'll might want to consider shorts for Sunday...it's suppose to be 72.

It's funny too that the TN comp spot is getting snow right now and we're talking about wearing shorts!
