Default ETRC Season Finale Comp

Date: June 25th (Saturday)
Time: Course Building 8:00 AM
Tech: 9:00 AM
Courses: Open after tech

We will be running FOUR 2.2 courses and a top 5 FINAL.
DTWISTED will build one
PDOG7 will build one
I (Harvo) will build one
and The rest of the group will build the last one
Finals will be built after all courses are run.

We will run USRCCA rules.

This one decides who is going to Nats from ETRC.

Location: Dayton Pocket Wilderness.
Directions: From Hwy 27 headed south...
Turn right at redlight #8 in Dayton. Turn left if you are going North on Hwy 27.
At the fork in the road, keep left.
1.4 miles from the redlight, the entrance to Laurel Snow Natural Area is on the right..
Take the dirt road to the end and park.
Walk the wide, flat, groomed trail by the river.
Pass a small wooden bridge and cross a long wooden bridge.
We will be just past the bridge in the creekbed.
The walk is shorter than the Montlake Golfcourse Comp area.

We have been averaging around 14 people per comp. Lets finish the season big. Come on out and play. Everyone is welcome

Big Rons Customs has generously donated one of his axle mounted battery trays for either the XR or the Berg.

$3 at Tech will get your name in the hat. You can enter as many times as you like. The money will go toward the ETRC cookout GTG next month. Thanks Ron!!
We will also run any other class we have enough trucks for. Last comp, we ran 2.2 pro and Sportsman.

The rocks are awsome. There is running water so bring a towel and your swimmies if you want to. There is shade by the river. Wear sturdy shoes. There are many short paths from the trail to the creekbed, so when you see us, pick the smoothest one and watch your step!

Also... watch for snakes

We will still be comping every month in the off season... just not for points.

That's great I will be out as much as possible.

Being out for awhile I feel hooked again. Can't wait to get together and crawl.

First place is 1 point ahead of a tie for 2nd place.

So what is a central location in East Tennessee for Arkansas, Kentucky, and Georgia?

Put me down for 2.2 and sportsman
Hey Harvo have you thought about tellico, most of the main roads are paved now and should still be some good crawling/comping around lower trail 2
Just a thought

Good place... but in NC. TN comps have to be in TN. There are some good looking places along the river on the TN side... but no parking

Keep the ideas coming though!

I'm going to check out a spot that only Danny and I have ever been to. If the water is low and the walk isn't any more than I remember, we might have our place.

I don't think you have seen any resent pics of Tellico, lower 2 is completely gone, like it was only a dream as are most of the trails. Excavators have filled them in and it is like they were never there . Lots have been sold off for fishing cabins and upper 2 is like a 4 lane gravel road, power is even in beside the road for when the cabins go in... Save Tellico!? Nothing left to save, so sad
