anytime JK, hopefully it's possible to get you over here. Maybe you can sweetalk Adam to let ya bring a few things for prizes from MTPA also, i have had several people email and PM me saying they would be up for it. i have had alot of comments for the Livingston area in southern KY ( near London) that seems like a central location to everyone within the areas that would be willing to come. you would have people from VA,Oh,Ky,TN, GA, CO and possibly a few more places. so far, we are starting to get a bigger turn out of people interested and would come than i thought, but that only seems if it up near the Tenn/Ky line as asked in the last post from Highmark. here is a list of everyone so far that says they would be in Rufies97xj adam f me destroyer 4Xadict 4xadicts' brother Highmark Jesus Brad ( w/ highmark) Runoveru2 Toyotaman75 possibly from CO Grizzly4x4 ( good, im ready to run over the duke ) BustedCrawler Possibly from Aus. JK( Mudcow) so far, not bad. i would still need a bit so i can put the 2 trucks im working on together, besides that gives everyone enough time to get everything worked out and finalized. BTW- where is steve( Raptorman) in all this? cmon steve speak up big boy Just posted over on the Outer Limits board now also |

I'm only about 45min from Stone Mtn. so I may go check it out. I don't think I'd be able to make to KY though. That'd be a long drive. Destroyer |

A link is now on RCMT Anyway, just a thought but maybe we should cheak with some of the ORCRC and Aussie guys with what there doing, both groups seem to have grown very rapidly. They may have some advice that would make it more fun for all of us |

Maybe we could do a double deal...one place on day then caravan to the other for the next day. That way people that could attend only one event could still participate and those who could do both get double the fun! Just an idea. Destroyer |

Hey man LCS here from RCMT and RCJP. Followed Highmarks link to this board and have to say this place is pretty sweet. Now as far as having a competition in Hotlanta, that would be sweet. There are TONS of places over there. It just depends on what kind of terrain we want. I'm so used to taking my 1:1 truck on the trails that I forget what trails might be best for R/C crawlers. There are a few good places right inside the main enterance that would probably be good. There's a section called "pink rock" and a lot of good spots right around there. It's at the beginning too, and any car or truck can make it to this spot. Also right past there there is another place that has some good rocks that might be about the right scale for a r/c. And a bunch more places further out if your willing to walk or ride along someone with a 4x4. I'll look through some of my pics to see which place would be best, and I'll post some later on. I'm hoping to make a trip down there here soon, so I can scout the trails for a good spot. Also, there are some killer places to run fast instead of crawling if you have a tmaxx or something fast. I know of a few "whoops" that would be fun to run. | |

I uploaded a bunch of pictures of Livingston I had on my computer. Take a look at my page http://www.toyotaoffroad.net/afertig/livingston/ There's another spot right at the beginning of the entrance that I don't have any photos of, but would be decent for r/c crawling. |

That pink rock place looks killer think we could get the quad and jeep guys off it long enough to do a competition? The place in the pic labeled " rock ledges on down the trail" also looks really interesting. Perhaps we should do several diffrent courses instead off concentrating on one spot? Also could we get back to those spots in say a 4x4 van, minus lockers? |

There should be very few to NO quads back there since the rangers now often enforce the rule that all vehicle back there have to be street legal since the trail that passes back there is actually a county road. As long as we go on a day/weekend that is not a holliday or anything, we shouldnt run into much traffic at all. All the pictures I posted, except for the last one that I noted a built 4x4 needed, can be acceses with any ordinary car, unless it's a lowrider. I took my wife's 96 Corolla back there. |
