I can't do the drive to Livingston (I'll be there if we do the comp/get to gether there) to check it out (even though I'm the closest, kick me if you want ) but I'll snap some pics of that place by the green river this friday when I go by there, I think you guys would be plesently suprised by the variety of terain that's there. Livingston looks great to me but I'll see if I can get some pics just as another option, my trucks really don't do that well at this place but it would save everyone north of livingston and hour and half's worth of a drive and it's right by the road so it is very accesable.

BTW the place I'm talking about is in Rocheaster KY which is right outside of morgantown. Theres a hobby shop in Bowling green which is an hours drive away depending on how fast you drive, traffic and how many cops are out. The hobby shop is mostly plane stuff but if you need something like tire glue they can cover you. There is a number of motel/hotels in morgantown as well as a sonic,Mc Donalds, mexican place, chinese place, hardees and a couple of pizza places. Also the crawling area is close to a boat nice boat dock/ not so nice camp ground (not to many people camp there but you can if you need to) so you will see a few fishermen but thats it for the most part.

I was only able to stay there around 10-15 minutes but I did get 30 or so pics.

Here's a few:

Check this album for more: http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v326/Highmark/

This is only about a third of the rocks that are there, I was only able to take pics of the area close to the intrance because of the time limmit but theres enough crawlable terain there for several courses and enough variation that anything from a pajero up to some of the Kong and maxx trucks could have a nice course [/img]

I was about to say "hell yea" when you said it would save me an hour and a half, as the terrain there looks perfect for crawling, but mapquest says its 4 hours, while livingston is only about 2.5.

Highmark, the place you took the pics looks realy good. Havent checked the map yet but the drive wouldn`t be that bad for me, I have some family in Nashville, and I used to go thru Bowling Green alot on my way to Newburgh, IN. Anyway anyone suggested a date yet? I`ve been away for awhile concetrateing on my Savage project and this place as been busy.

Woops havent checked this post in a while,

Mnster, I dont blame you that is quite a drive!

4XAdict myself and Bradster(Brad) have been talking about doing something around Augest 7th or 8th to give him enough time to get his truck ready, I'll probably be up there sometime sooner because my rig is crawlable just too see what area's would work and what wouldnt. Anyone who wants to come is welcome to but i'm not going to hipe this up in hopes of getting twenty guys up there, just more of a get-togeather to snap off a couple pics have some fun (and maybe BBQ) and get some excitment built up. I'll be sure to make a new topic in the get togeather forum when things are set in stone

Cool, as long as I get a weeks notice I`m there. That is as long as I can get everything I`ve broken in the past week fixed by then. Gonna have to try some Revo shafts and 1/4 scale servos.

Looks like a great place. I should have the tubber running in a few more weeks (waiting on parts now). I'll look on Mapquest to find out where it is, but I think I should be able to make it.

You will probably have more luck searching for "Morgantown" rather than Rocheaster because Rocheaster is a pretty small town, if you need any help finding it let me know and I can get you directions.

I think Brad is set on the seventh so depending on the weather it should be on that saterday

I'll be makeing a new post sometime this week with all of the details!

Distance: 467.9 miles Approximate Travel Time: 7 hours 11 mins

If it's Saturday only I might have to swing up there.

How many are planning on attending?

I'd like to do an article for the mag and the place that highmark posted looks killer.

Same to you Jason, I would be willing to do saturday if everyone else would, I think the media coverage would be well worth it!If it helps any I'll be bringing one rig for sure and probably another, just depends on how fast I can fab a new chassie

I talked to Brad about it and he said that either day would be good for him aswell.

Not sure that any of my rigs could compete with some I've seen here but it'd be a load of fun to get together and goof around.

Maybe I'll have the Scorpion done in time.

One last hijack for this thread. I will be going down to Livingston KY (actually in the little town of East Bernstadt KY if using mapquest) and I will scout the area for possible crawling areas, and make a post with pictures when I get finished, if anyone is interested.
