The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I would like to host an event in Atlanta Ga sometime. Stone Mountian is near by .............it is the worlds largest exposed granite outcroping. It was heavily mined in the past, so it also has lots of challening terrian. http://www.stonemountainpark.com/ My wife is in the travel business, so I also would work on discounts for travel expenses. I also think I could get Mudcow a airline ticket if he was willing to come :!: What do you guys think :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: Who would be interested :?: :?: |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style way to far but if some one were to make a big comp on the west coast i would be all for it. |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style With enough notice and if there were enough entrants I would be willing to head out your way. It would be a big trip for me but if it was a good event I would love to do it. Keep us posted. |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style When are you thinking about having this comp? I will more than likely be going back to Knoxville this summer to work and see the family, so Stone mountain is very close. I would be down. Matt |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Trying to gauge interest in you guys coming south..............might be to late for this year  I need to go out to Stone Mtn to shoot some crawling action so everyone will get pumped  |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I will be in Knoxville come the beginning of May. I am down from doing some crawling down there. Matt |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I'd be there for sure!! Destroyer |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Im about 5 to 6 hours from Atlanta, count me in for sure, too. Come on guys we can`t let all the guys in the west have all the fun. Lets get something going. |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Anyone still interesting in throwing down and having the Southern Crawl? |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Go for it! |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style i would shoot for it if it was in KY. or in northern TN. but Atl. is a hitch just to go break some shit    |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Heck yea I'm still in. |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Ohhh don't tease me like that! |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I would deffinately be up for it, if it was next summer :( There seems to be alot of guys around your area that do crawling. I'm in South Central Ky by the way  |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style As soon as my new digital camera comes in (lost my old one in Mexico) I will go out to Stone Mtn, and take some photos of possible crawling sites. They have onsite campgrounds, and a hotel. I should also check with park management for permission. :flipoff: http://www.stonemountainpark.com/new...ucation_mg.asp J.K. I am serious 8O |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I hope they let us go crawling there. I don't think they would care being they have hiking and all sorts of other stuff going on there. I bet there would be some nice places to crawl at on the back side or in the surrounding area. Destroyer |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style hey guys, lets get something like this going....here ya go http://www.rccrawler.com/postt880.html if we make it big enough, we can try to get grizzly, bustedcrawler, and a few other guys down this way to make it bigger..if we can put a date like sept or something like that( where everyone has enough notice) and gives me enough time to build 2 crawlers im working on, i think we can get alot of people to show up.. heres a possible for that southern KY area.. rufies97xj toyotafourwheeln adam f. HighMark FishMaxx Destroyer 4Xadict Then from CO ( if possible) grizzly4x4 bustedcrawler and we chip in and send JK ( Mudcow) a plane ticket  well that would be at least 9 people from here, and if we spread the word a little more on different boards( clodtalk,Outer Limits, etc.( we may be able to get a few more just posetd it over on clodtalk http://www.clodtalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=3690 |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I would be happy to try and plan an event. I think I will need help with sponsors, and prizes. I am pretty connected with the local scene as far as food/shelter. I also should be able to get an RV for a command center. JK has expressed intrest to me about coming to the USA for an event. I want to do something cool with a good turn out. It needs to be an event that's more than "lets crawl for 4 hours then go home" to make it worth travling to. If you check out the Stone Mtn website you will see that location has a lot to offer besides crawling. |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style I posted a link over on RCJP, I'll post one on RCMT in the moring (well later-it's 12:45 here). But anyway, Brad from RCJP will porbably ride with me, and Jesus from clodtalk will aswell  |
Re: The Southern Crawl......Crawling Event Southern Style Hell yeah ! The ball is starting to roll. Add one more with me, after running two charges in my buggy my brother is hooked and is going to put together a Clod. As for notice, all I need is about two weeks worth. Anywhere within 500 miles is good too. Fishmaxx is there a LHS in that area that would be willing to lend some support in the way of sponsorship or prizes ? I`d be willing to donate some so the Mudcow could come over and give us all a good spankin. The big question is Where? GA or KY or TN ? I say chose it based on what area has the best support for this kind of event and where they will let us hold it. |
