Default PARC Comp #9 -The Junkyard2- June 25

We're going to hold the next comp at the same place and the same time. We all love the natural terrain much better but this spot is still really good and we have a nice cool building to go hide in if we get heat exhaustion!!

Start Time 7:30AM -- Location The Junk Yard
We are starting at 7:30 to try and beat the heat, however if you show up by 8:30 you can still compete.

Directions:
From the south
Take I-17 North to Flagstaff
Exit I-17 to 101 East
Exit 101 East at 7th Ave
Go North on 7th Ave to Lone Cactus
Turn Right (East) on Lone Cactus
Continue on Lone Cactus until you get to 419 W. Lone Cactus
It will be on the right (south) side, turn in and go to the back (south side) of the building.

From the North
Take I-17 South to Phoenix
Exit I-17 at Deer Valley Rd
Go East on Deer Valley Rd to 7th Ave
Turn South on 7th Ave to Lone Cactus
Turn Left (East) on Lone Cactus
Continue on Lone Cactus until you get to 419 W. Lone Cactus
It will be on the right (south) side, turn in and go to the back (south side) of the building.

Here are the disignated judges for each stage and each class:

Unlimited
Stage 1: Grover
stage 2: CowboyRC
stage 3: BkToys

2.2
stage 1: Kevinlongisland
stage 2: AZVader
stage 3: Cars69

Backups:
Roktoy
AZ-Savage

Also, because we know the running order we can move through each stage much faster. We will setup one stage per class and start right away. Once the first few are through stage one a couple of us will setup the second stages and start running them and so on.

I will have the shop open and the coolers cranking. I'll bring the EZ-up for a little shade by the course.

I hear ya! I'm usually tolerant of the heat, but that day my vision started to have a reddish tone to it! I'm sure it wasn't a good sign. Hopefully with only two classes we'll have more time to relax in the shop.

Crawlerman, we have talked about adding a scale class, but no one here has built a scaler yet that I know of.

Hey guys. I have some giant tracs I want to get rid of and I thought I would offer them to you local guys first. I have two sets available. The first set are new never used on chrome rims (one rim has a small piece missing from the outer bead, you can see it in the first photo, top right rim). Not glued. $85

The second set are on painted black rims. The tires are glued to the rims with foams. One set (2 tires/rims) where used once and are basically brand new. $80

I'm still crawling !!! I've cut the shop staff for the summer and got busy. I'll be there for sure Sunday and I'll bring the EZ-Ups to set over the coarses for extra shade. I'm sorry I missed the last comp, I love "Junkyard Crawling". I loved the pic of Chad crawling on the shopping cart !!

See Ya Sunday !!!

Sorry for intruding, curiosity kills the cat!

Marc:-P
I'm planning a scale FJ-40 Bruiser project, I just need a S.S. screw kit.

I agree a comp TLT will do in a TRUE scale rig (not a comped out TLT w/a scale looking body).

Mike, glad to hear you'll be back and damned!!!!!! The comps this weekend I'm glad someone posted in here. I would have missed it! That three weeks went by super fast.

This will be a somewhat sad event. Grovers last regular comp here at PARC.

How ironic, I couldn't find a set of mine recently so I ordered 6 pair! I'll bring a pair with me for you tomorrow.

Holy Crap! Dude I'm from Blythe Ca.! Been to havasu so many times it's like home.

I'll be in the area (Blythe) July 23 - August 19th. If you guys are having a comp in that time frame and it doesn't conflict w/ our Disneyland trip(yea ) then I'd love to crawl w/ the P.A.R.C. crew!

Chad, it was my pleasure and I'm sure everyone else's having you as a part of the PARC group. You have most definitely been a big part of PARCs growth and development, a great competitor, a great builder and a great friend. Sad to see you go but I hope everything works out for you guys. Good luck with everything up north.
