Alright everyone, it's finally time to kick off the OCRCRC season series for 2012.

Our first comp will be held on Saturday, January 28 @ 2nd. St. in Mission Viejo- map link here http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...003904,0.00618

**Drivers meeting @ 8:30
**Competition begins @ 9:00
**Classes- 2.2 Pro & 1.9
**Number of courses- 4 per class
**Number of comps for the series- 5
**No throw away comps. All scores count for the series.
**Cost per comp- $0

We will need volounteers for judging. All judges will be entered into a raffle at the final comp where everyone that judges throughout the year will be guaranteed to walk away with something. We cannot run 4 courses per class without your help so please step up and help out when possible.

We are trying some new things out with course design and setup. We will not run a course with 10 gates and 1 bonus like before. All 4 courses have a "theme" to them and will challenge you in different ways.
Here's the designated names for each course-
1. Switch Back
2. Long Haul
3. Bonus Land
4. Team Work

All details will be given to you before the start of the competition as to what each course will entail. We think they will be fun and different from a normal comp setup.

We will be running a points series to qualify for the regionals to be held in June. We already have a list started so need to worry if you are already signed up. The points series eligability will close at the end of the second comp. If you are not on the list by then, you will not be eligable for a spot at regionals. Please contact either Tyler or myself to make sure you get on the list.

We are asking for a $5.00- $10.00 (one time donation) to cover the costs for trophies to be awarded to the top 5 drivers in each class. The donation can be made at any one of the first 4 comps so we can have the trophies ready to be presented at the final comp of the season.

We will have a Wraith/ Scaler run following the comp. This area has a nice, long creek/ wooded area running through it that is perfect for some scaling fun.

Our first comp is quickly approaching. We are setup for a fun comp with new course formats and great weather.8)

Well I want to personally thank everyone that showed up today and ran with us O.C boys. I know we don't have the "greatest" rock to climb on (http://westcoastrccrawlers.com/image...ies/finger.gifJim) but hopefully everyone enjoyed the fantastic weather and hanging out with some good people.

I am going to start a seperate thread regarding the new course formats we had today. I heard mostly positive things about them but I want to hear from everyone that has a comment or suggestion about the designs.
