I had a great time too. Met alot of cool people. Can't wait till the winter comp. I'm in the process of tearing my rig down, needs improvements.

Like they say, practice makes perfect. I find the best thing to do is to just really take your time and plan out your lines. As long as the truck is built right and has good components then its just a matter of steering it in the right direction. I know I have improved since the last event. I think alot of my problems is I sacrafice performance for scale looks but I keep finding new ways to make them a little bit better each event. A prime example being the 4runner...last year it did TERRIBLE, it didnt steer, had the battery pack in the stock REAR of the truck location etc... This year I made a few adjustments and it did MUCH better.

later

I think I could've done better than tenth place, even though it was my first time on the course. A little driving error and some bad engineering, but I'm improving my rig(a little more ground clearance and narrower tires) and I'll see you guy in Jan.

yeah my 2.2 i wish i'd a had my rear steering on it i just wasnt lining up right and i guess i was going to fast and not taking my time. i'm just used to having the rear steer on my trucks and when it aint there you miss it.

I headed there with crawlin' coles and his girl. it was our 1st crawler comp.We had a blast! I got to put faces to some of the guys i until then only read about in the forums, I definitely got to meet some cool people. The comp course was unique, a course that showed the strong and weak points of each rig. I will definitely be going back there this winter! I would like to have a 2.2 built by then as well as re-working my much hated on piece of STICK. I did take an ear beating showing up with it as I knew I would but hey,I like my rig and I'm STICKing with it.LOL. I have to admit,I am a big fan of all the tube creations out there. Maybe that could be an idea for my 2.2 project. See you all this winter!!
