I don't know what the problem was, I didn't have any reverses there...

Scores are up in comp results section.

I want to come up with a weekend where we can all get together and learn to judge correctly. I had a very difficult time scoring everyone in sportsman due to incorrect recording of penalties among other problems as well. This is not to single anyone out, but so that everyone can handle this duty and spread out the work load. I don't want to see Jack judging all day again. He more then did his part last season and now it is time for everyone to learn how to do it correctly.

So, lets come up with a date or one of the next comps and get this sorted out.

I can own a LOT of that. It wasn't until Javier explained the whole "course one, 10 gates, course two 10 gates, course three 10 gates thing on the paper" DOH! And now I know... I'm the FNG, what can I say?

Its not a problem Jeff. Your not alone, thats why I want everybody proficient in scoring. This way, all judging is equal and everybody shares the burden.

The courses on sporty were really fun I really enjoy them, too bad the scoring was all messed up, I also take blame on that for not knowing how to do it. In my opinion we should do a rematch and disregard last comps points. I thought I saw a lot of penalties that were not being written down, but hey I am the guy that came in last place.

I considered this, but for the most part I was able to get a true score from the sheets. If you guys decide to throw this one out, I'm fine with that, but you will all need to decide as a group at Texas Canyon.

FYI: there wasnt a lack of penalties, but way to many for the most part per course

Maybe we can all run sporty together and help with letting the people judge that want/need to learn. It was a great comp and I hope to see everyone at Texas canyon this weekend, everybody that shows up is what makes our comps so much fun!!!

The people that want to learn should also spend as much time as they can watching experienced judges and practice making the calls to themselves while other drivers are running. That is how I learned. It's so hard to not get caught up in the action and forget what you are doing though. There is a lot of knowledge and experience there in that group. Take advantage of it.

No reason for anyone to feel like they need to take the blame for the scoring issues, none of the new people were really ever trained in the first place. Like Erin said, best way to handle it is to have a judging clinic get togeteher, most likely up at Gates Pass because it's easy and close. How does everyone feel about 02/26?
