Looking like Knoxville. I'm investigating a couple of places near there, but the fall back will be NorthShore in Knoxville.

I actually drove up there today to check out the Ft. Loudon Dam. I checked out the river side and it was a mix of big quarry rock and natural rock... but the natural area is STEEP and closed for construction.

I went to the public park that had some promising natural rock all around the shore line... Just not enough and not very challenging.

Then I went to the Lock. It had the most promise. There was ALOT of meduim to big quarry rock. (Bigger than rip rap). It wasnt too steep, plenty of parking, in the sun all day... I'm just not sure if it's comp worthy. We could definitely make plenty of courses for all the classes... but there is nothing really big there. If any of you locals want to drive there and see what you think.. I can just leave it between there and Northshore. Since they are only about 15 minutes from each other I can wait until closer to make the final descision.

Randy, Sinister, JimmyJam, Walter, Chris... let me know your opinions if you have been there or can drop by to look. It's on the other side of the bridge... first right, then left down to the parking lot. Nothing there but a grazzy field, fishermen, and then the rocky river bank.

Update:

Driver's cap removed. Either location will take anyone that wants to come.

I listed two locations that are about 15 minutes apart. Next week I will make the final announcement and post directions. Both locations are near KNoxville.

Hey Harvo, glad you got it narrowed down. I think I would like to try some place different. That's just my thought. If it doesn't work, then we will at least know and don't have to use it again. If we were taking a vote, mine would be Louden Dam.

Thanks guys. Like I said, the place is big enough and has lots of rocks and it's different. Just a bit sketchy when it comes to being challenging.

When you guys go look, there are streaks of big rocks here and there all bunched together that might be big enough for courses.

Also, look at the bottom below the sidewalk and to the right of the steps. There is some big rock and concrete work that could make some interesting lines maybe.

There is 1.9 and sportsman stuff all over the place, but I think the best 2.2 stuff is near the steps.
