thanks RECON and crew, cherry popped again, 70 gates a lap and 3 laps, it was so cool to try a different line through a gate you already drove to see if you could get through the "man line" you avoided the lap before, or avoid that gate you hit. can't wait for the next one.

You will be amazed at how much fun it is to drive your comp rig that much in ONE day!!! Not having to wait in line and worry about getting a bad "judges call" makes crawling FUN again!!!! See you at the next RECON ROCK RIOT J-FAB!!!

Driving has always been in my blood. My Dad would pin us to the back of the seats in his ’69 GTO on any flat stretch of Missouri asphalt and every chance I got as a kid, I would sit on my grandfathers lap and steer his 1946 Farmall model M tractor. I was 7 when I backed the family’s 1970 Chevy Chevelle Station Wagon into an old split rail fence. My ass still can feel the impression of that Sears and Roebuck belt, but it was worth every tear to be behind that steering wheel and set that car in motion. I love to drive, hell, it’s in my screen name and I enjoying spending time with others who have the same passion.

The Rock Riot 2.2 Comp Series presented by Axial Racing and Vanquish Products is for those r/c crawling enthusiasts that are passionate about driving and enjoy the excitement of competition. Lake Amador set the stage for the inaugural event that gave drivers the opportunity to compete in 5 different classes and share course time, literally, with their competitors.

The first ever Rock Riot course featured 60 course gates and the 2.2 Pro Drivers and the AR60 Classes had additional class specific course sections. The course challenged every driver’s skill, but the mental challenge caught a few drivers off guard on the first lap. These drivers were able to better their score on the second lap, while others did not fair as well, but one thing is for sure, Rioters had a blast!

Mad props to all the drivers who came to riot and kick off a brand new format of r/c competition and fun and thank you to, Sumquak, Unibomber, Stuart G, and Chasinbaja; ya’lls help is always appreciated.

The following drivers made history and congrats to each and every one of them. The RECON Satellite Club, Backyard Boys RCC, home of the National Champion, Brian Lorenz, represented Nor-Cal and put on a great driving display.

Thanks to parker and the Recon crew for a wonderful day on the rocks. The new format is like the tital says a riot. Driving with the other classes on course at the same time was great. I think there was a little koh style running going on with rubbing tires with other guys and I even drove over a couple guys to get by a few times. A total of 210 gates ran in no time at all was great. Look forward to the next one. Great job D-man,Minermike,and Jason.
