The weekend following The Biggest Little G6...is the Overland Challenge, so we will re-schedule to the weekend after that!

So let's Rally up all the scaler drivers, solo and teams...and save the date,
Sunday April 29th
The first comp of our Scaler Spring Summer Series 'King of the Sierras 2012'
1st Stop on the List: Rollins Lake Round Up ! Sunday April 29th

There will be a minimum of 4 competitions in this series (possibly 5). This is a Scaler Comp Series.
We will have one each month starting with the month of April 2012 and ending in or around July of 2012. The dates will be posted ASAP. We will need to allow room to adjust/change the schedule for conflicting comps that may be posted in the near future.

Rollins Lake is a few min off 80 through Colfax or from Grass Valley out hwy 174. You should be able to google Rollins lake.

The only problem I saw with the feeler being posted in the last event thread was no one got to see when it was actually posted unless they paided attention to it. I hope I can make it to both events if they were on different dates so count me in as a person to have the date changed.

I don't think we should change the date if it gets changed what other events is it going to conflict with?? The overland comp is over 4hrs from my teammate and we can't swing it. So much for it being a sac area comp! 300 miles of driving is too much!! If you guys want a fun day of scaling and no more

The Sac area is much more than just the 916 area code. Our next spot is only 1.5 to 1.75 hrs from Sac @ 108 miles one way. 1.5 hrs from Folsom. 1.5 hrs from Amador county.... Its not 300 miles from Sac..

We now work from Redding down to Fresno out to the Bay and all the way back to Reno NV, because people from all those areas make the effort to come out to our event. Grass valley is just under 3 hrs one way for me to go and its the same for all of us on this side of Sac... We have all traveled far for RC events over the years, like we are all including yourself going to drive to Reno this Sat.. and that's easily 2 hrs from Sac one way...

The R.C.O.T.C is it's own entity and Area 916 Scalers is our host club for this event and the original idea was to bring this comp to the general Sacramento areas, but competitors have come from all around California. This and the lack of new comp sites available in the Sac area that can accommodate the volume of competitors has caused us to have to go out side of our original 60 mile comp site radius to 100 - 125 mile radius for now.

The conflicting dates just sucks and so does the fact that your series started right in the middle of our season... So unfortunately, toes are getting stepped on with so much going on at once. I'll think about changing our comp date...

Us too! But a 6 hour drive and over 300 miles Is too much to swing for my Partner and I, plus we booked the date of April 29th on mArch 25. And have already changed it once for the overland comp, we wish all the dates worked out but like I said before we booked a lake and it's not that easy to change the dates again, I'm sorry too those of you who are gonna miss out on the first stop of the King of the sierras series, its gonna be epic and no more then 2hrs drive from anywhere in sac area!!
