i hear ya.

i'll just try to throw some of the stuff i never use in the truck before i leave.

not wanting to make money or anything, just need to free up some space and get rid of old projects and parts i know i'll never do anything with.

Well it's getting so close......

Funny thing my wife said, are you spending a little too much for this???

I said its a life time event!!! Be waiting a long time to go to a real
Big scale event!

I have ordered from locked up RC twice in a month
Several trips to local hobby store, and a few purchases from ebay!
Yes I have spent a lot....my honey Do list is getting even longer with every purchase.
May be after Xmas before I can touch a toy truck again.

But it's all WORTH IT!

Any body else coming from Alabama? Or will I be the only one?

Oh yes are there any scale points for a working stereo??

Re: 2013 RC4WD East Coast Scale Challenge (August 23-25)

In the past 2 weeks I think I have spent nearly 700$ I ordered 2x from RC4WD, ordered from Holmes hobbies, rpp, locked up RC, eBay and god knows where else this weekend just to get the goods needed for my class 2 and still might need a few things. Best part is everyone shipped this morning  my 3 days off later this week are going to be busy. Have a t belt/service side job on a real 1:1 Tundra then it's full boost ahead on this class 2 rig all while hopefully putting the fuel system back in order in my Subaru so it can get back on the dyno...busy, busy and clocks ticking !!

I will be bring a mega ton of scalers with me, figure just for people to check out and for spare parts! Although I am hoping that wont be an issue.

It makes me feel a little better to know I'm not the only one. Not a lot better, but a little.

It's getting to the point where I can't honestly use the "it's cheaper than 1:1 offroading" excuse any more.

:lmao: I definitely can't use that excuse I sold my SAS 4Runner And bought Chino63s built 83 hilux that didn't need a thing other then a tune up...my WRX is done after this fuel system stuff and I am definitely going to be cutting back on RC spending because I am in the process of buying a house, should be in contract at the end of this week

Re: 2013 RC4WD East Coast Scale Challenge (August 23-25)

I want to take a moment and thank two guys that have stepped up to take the very important position of Event Marshalls.

War Pig (Tim)
JesterSpec (John)

The Event Marshall Position is one of the most important positions at the event and I was lucky to have these guys step up. They will be my Right Hand Men when it comes to keeping the event activities running smoothly.

JesterSpec (John) will be reaching out to all the Registered Drivers that said they were interested in Judging. Please remember, we not only need experienced Judges but people that are interested in judging but never had the chance to be at a big event.

Judging is a commitment but with it comes some benefits.

Again...a huge round of applause for Tim and John for helping make this one of the best Scale Events on the East Coast.

John

Since fall semester starts the day after the event I don't need to stay hammered all weekend. Besides I have a hard enough time keeping the rubber side down with my rig sober.:lmao::lmao:
