801rcc 2013 Ultra4 R/C, Race #4 "Radiation Rally"

You look ahead as dirt flies through the air. 30 seconds you say to yourself, as the adrenalin builds. You can hear the buzz of servos and the chime of ESCs arming. You try to focus as the excitement in the air begins to overtake you. "20 seconds!!" The starter shouts. You make one final look back down the grid at the other rigs that will soon be giving chase. "10 seconds!!" rings through the air. You turn the wheel and blip the throttle, all systems go. 5, 4, 3, You take one last deep breath and grab the throttle as hard as you can. Your rig launches forward as you struggle to stay in control, rock and earth belting the rig behind you.
The race has begun!!!

LOCATION: South end of Skull Valley
TERRAIN: Smooth flowing Sandstone
TRACTION: Medium/low

Directions:
Heading west on I80. Take exit 77, head south on UT-196 (Skull Valley Rd) 29.6 miles. Turn right onto the dirt road. follow the dirt road west 5.5 miles. Turn left and follow 3 miles to White Rocks. Follow the road around to the north west side of White Rocks.

2.2 Dog Tag: Finish with fasted over all time in the 2.2 class. Fly when you can but keep the penalties down
1.9 Dog Tag: Finish with fasted over all time in the 1.9 class. Smooth and smart driving pay off
Average Joe Dog Tag: Driver closest to the average time of finishers. Not to fast but not to slow is the key
Theme Dog Tag: Driver with the best item or vehicle based on the theme of the race. Creativity might be best

**Mandatory**

All drivers must have a timer, i.e. phone, stopwatch, etc
All vehicles must have a recovery strap or winch.
ALL Vehicles must have 6 scale items, EXCLUDING mandatory strap/winch

**Not required but highly recommended**

All Drivers must post a pic of their rig in this thread before the day of the event
ALL Vehicles must compete in the event with any and all items
Voting will take place during the drivers meeting

BE PREPARED TO SWITCH BATTERY PACKS!!!! THIS RACE MIGHT CONSIST OF UP TO 300+ GATES

In true 801RCC fashion this will be a FREE event and is open to anyone running a Ultra4 legal rig (check the rules to make sure your rigs are in spec)
