It's finally here! The first race at Glen Helen RC Raceway in Devore, CA.

With all the awesome Wraiths, Twin Hammers, custom built KOH/rock racers and SCX10/Honchos out there, a rock racetrack just seemed right. Keep an eye on this thread for further details.

We will get everyone out on the track in a class. This being the first event, we are leaving the classes fairly open. We want to see what type of rigs are showing up to race and adjust the classes accordingly for the next event...... So if you got it? Bring it!

Here is some more quick info.....

Classes:
1.9" OPEN = for rigs clad with 1.9" tires. shaft driven, electric powered.
2.2" OPEN = for rigs clad with 2.2" tires. shaft driven, electric powered.

Run Time: Expect to run at race speed for 10-15+min per heat race, and up to 20min+ for the Main.

Timeline:
8-9:30am sign-ups, tech, open practice.
9:30-10am Driver's meeting
10am Heat racing starts!.......

This first event will most likely be manually scored. But we are working to secure a transponder system for scoring in the near future. The Glen Helen RC Facility has a snack shop on hand, a restroom, and a rental shop for the "go-fast" guys.

RCP Crawlers will be on hand should you need any extra parts! And believe me you will, so stock up now!

1.9 and 2.2 will be the only classes for the first race. The plan is to find out what the drivers want to see, and adapt from there. People will have a chance to give input at the drivers meeting and/or after the race.

I wished I had Parker's crowd skills! And his socks!

The short notice on this race was because we were honestly not sure we could be ready in time. Nobody likes somebody promising something without results. Just a few short weeks back this was a 40'x40' smooth chunk of land. I promise way more lead time for the next one."thumbsup"

No worries, I can throw on 2.2's and race with the big guys.

wow! I whish I lived near by....but a couple of 1000 miles away...Europe, Norway...a little long way to drive:)

How often are you planning on running these. At only 3 hrs away we would deff come out with more notice.

Events should be at least once a month. Keep an eye out we will be posting next event info soon.

We are gonna try and host an event the same weekend the fullsize Ultra4's are running at Glen Helen."thumbsup"
