I will try and come if its at all possible for me. I dont have any extreme crawlers, but by then i should have my E-Maxx tranny, and a lathe motor in my T-Maxx, spools, and just some soft shocks, and hopefully some different tires/rims, and a body . I have never even drove R/C's with another person. I would be excited to come down, maybe compete a little, and enjoy the show, and get to know some of you guys. Anyone know how far away this is from Garrard County Ky? Anyways. Should have my truck built up by then for some moderate crawling. Keep us updated!

PMed ya, and yes, totally.

I like to peel myself away from computers every now and then.

So tough though.

Is there a particular tire that performs better in this area than others?

Nope! Jason prefers to run one of each

Nagh really-there's about 4 diffrent kinds of rock and terrain there. Anything from sandstonce, to really smooth river rock, to some wierd rock that almost feels like dirt it's so soft so you really just have to drive stuff more than have the right tire for it.

But I would say the two that I've been most impressed by where the cut associated BFT's and the 2.2 Swamp Dawgs I ran ;)

You know it!

Rears are standard width reverse rotation cut clods, left front is narrowed reverse rotation, right front is normal rotation standard width. I was in too big of a hurry to get there.

Has anyone planned on shooting video of the events? I have a Mini-DV cam and all the stuff to do it on my comp if need be.

Adam-I have a Hi8 camera that I plan on shooting some vid with, but I dont have the card needed to get that video onto the computer yet. I'm working on it!

Anywho I'm working with impulsehosting.net on a site with the general event information and a place to host pics and vids ;)

Well....my Mini-DV is all digital, and I have everything setup. So I guess I can do the shooting. Plus I can turn it into a DVD.

Unless there is someone else who is better than me with video. I can get the job done, but if someone else is better at it, than go ahead. I wouldnt mind watching the comp with my own eyes instead of through a viewfinder

I have a Panasonic DV camera I can bring. I actually brought it along last time but took too many pics to put the thing to use.

I'm also looking at getting a small on-board system that should make for some cool shots.

I'll definately do some filming when I'm not driving, if you want.

(With someone's camera, I don't have one.)

Sounds like LSTs are the ticket....
