Green River-Crawl Fest 2005, Info & Registration.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../Low-1perf.jpg

Location: Rochester KY
Date & Time: April-3rd 11:00 AM (for CSR), compitition will start at around 11:15
Other Information: Hotel accomidations avaiable in nearby Morgantown, food and gass are also available there. Be sure that your car can handle charging batterys because there will be no source of power, or restroms in the facility.

RULESThis time we will run the official Rc Crawler ruleset available here:
http://www.utrcrc.com/downloads/rules.pdf

With the exception of the box rule-it's to controversial and I'm sure someone might make the drive then fail tech, that to me is not what competition is about.

We will also not inforce the stop rule for safety reasons. And we will allow repositions but only via a judge.

Also we may need 1-2 volenters for judgeing, so anyone that doesnt have a truck and is up to it is welcome to come and help out!

Location The event will take place right on the Muhlenburge/Butler county line in a town called Rochester Kentucky. This spot is mostly used for fishing so occasionaly we get a spectator but there isn't really any traffic. It does have paved and gravel parking areas and is directly off the road so a 4x4 is in no way required.

Here's a Map Quest link to Rochester:

Please PM me if you want the address/phone# of your best bet for a hotel.

Other Junk We may run a 2.2 class if there is enough intrest, this will be for trucks with tires 5" or under, they do not have to be scale. We would run a modified version of the ORCRC rules to allow clod trucks and winching is a possibility.

Also as I mentioned earlyer we are in need of Judge(S) I would really rather it not be someone who is competing but if it comes down to it we can do that. I'll be willing to print the score sheets and print out the rules for reference.

If anyone needs assistance with anything feel free to PM me or send me an e-mail to Highmark@logantele.com or Jmeredith@logantele.com.

Please feel free to ask any questions, and dont forget to post below if there is a high likelyhood of you comming. No big deal if you dont but it would be nice to have a good idea!

Thanks-
Jon

That should give you the general idea, the first coarse which is really the more famous area is set-up closer to the dam and has some pretty recognizable obsticals:

The 1st gate to the first course, only 5 rigs have made this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC03483.jpg

"The little steps"
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC03765.jpg

"The Hole" (On a scale of 1-10 this is a easy 11-no one has ever made a clean pass! 8O )
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC03767.jpg

"Mini Potato salad hill" (Jason named it :flipoff: )
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC03788.jpg

"Big Steep" (Either 4XAdict or CSR named this one-cant remeber)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC03777.jpg

Then there's the last waterfall on the 2nd coarse that no-one has ever got close to making up-if you can make this thing please feel free to name it and yes that is a challenge  :flipoff:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...k/DSC03840.jpg

Jeep we would be glad to have you and your son there :D

Can you walk on that little beech area....thing now? I'm talking right next to the dam were that flat area is. I haven't been there in about a week so I have no idea where it's at right now.

Should be down to normal by April though :D

Don't forget...That first gate on the first course...I whooped it the first time through! :flipoff:

Has anyone else made the bonus gate on the 2nd course?

Highmark 01-17-2005 10:12 PM

Re: Green River-Crawl Fest 2005, Info & Registration.

True dat! We all got it second time though :flipoff:

The bonus gate is that waterfall I'm talking about, or are you talking about that one that Chris flipped around on for 10 minutes?

No one has even gotten close on the water-fall, I'm setting the max up specifically to woop it :D
