ETRC Summer Cookout and Fun Comp

I have to say, I had a blast today!! Randy that was some awesome burgers!!
Got to hang out with some people that I haven't seen in a year as well as all the great guys of ETRC!! Definitely looking forward to the southern cup in a few weeks.

Harvo, once again you have out done yourself with the organization of another successful comp!
Chad, the scale run was a lot of fun! Thanks again for loaning me your rig. Hopefully by the next one I'll have a little something better to play with.

You guys are awesome! I had a blast today! Randy you are a helluva cook! Huge thanks to AL crawler for letting me run his truck and light that competition fire under my ass again. Also thanks to greencrawler and Rusty for helping me dial my berg in for the showdown. See you all back in just a couple of weeks!

If anyone is curious, BTF beat Pdog7 by ONE point in the finals. Crazy stuff.

Whew. I hate I had to eat and run today, but Daddy duties had to take priority. I just got home from picking up the aftermath of a Minnie Mouse birthday party.
Randy, thanks for the burgers and manning the grill today. Thanks to everyone that showed up and contributed in some manner.
Harvo, great job as always in putting everything together, and thanks for keeping up with my crap I left behind.
I had a good time, what little bit I got to run and hope everyone enjoyed the scale course as much as I did. Hopefully I didn't get cussed too bad.

Thank you ETRC for another great year and another great turnout for the cookout. You guys are why I enjoy organizing these things so much. It's a blast when we all get together for a day on the rocks. With the turnout today, it looks like this may be a big year for TN Crawling

Thanks Randy for handmaking and cooking all those burgers. I heard a lot of people talking about how good they were. I really enjoyed mine! People...If you don't know, Randy is the Backbone of ETRC. He takes care of the money, the shirts, the cookout, and keeps us all in line. Again... THANK You Randy!

I appreciate how all you guys helped out today (and always). Thanks for helping with all the comp duties and cleanup all day long.

Everyone who got sweaty on the scaler course today... Thank Chad. It was much cooler and more fun than the last one. I learned alot about building scaler courses today.

For those whose trucks took a swim today, I hope they dry out and work again. It was good seeing some of the guys who have been away for a while. Looks like you might be hooked again.


Someone asked me to go into great detail about the finals

Going in it was
BTF -19
Pdog -9
James 19
Harvo 19
Greencrawler 22

Colby built a course that was really long but didn't look terribly tough. Greencrawler went first and almost killed it with only 4 reverses.
I went next and had a really good run. Penalty free.
James was next and had a bad bounce into a gate right off the bat. After that, he just enjoyed the rest of the course and had a good time.
Pdog ran an almost perfect course with only 2 penalties. He almost bit it at Gate 4, but he saved it.
Then BTF was up. All Scott needed was for Nick to hit a gate and take 3 reverses, but nobody expected it. Nick was having a clean run until gate 4. His truck flipped over, hit a gate and then he drove around upside down for a few feet before he got back over. Before he got to gate 5 he had to reverse once, which meant he had to drive the last 5 gates penalty free. It was a nail biter...but nick held on and won by 1 point.

It was a really fun finals course Colby. Thanks.

Well another awesome ETRC cookout comp is in the bag! I was feeling rough and almost did not make it but I told myself I was not going to miss another one (think I have missed the last two) and I am so glad I made it, great time, great food and as always great people to be around! A huge thank you to Randy for all the things you do for the club, really, thank you. Harvo, thank you for organizing the comps, I also know you have help, Chad, Scott, I know there are others that help out too. Thank you all! I was also glad to see some OG crawlers back out and having fun with toy trucks were you guys been was also glad to see and talk to some of the out of towners! I am also very happy to hear that Colby likes his new chassis! Scale course all I can say is That was fun! Any how, hope everyone made it home safe and see you all at the T1Erc Gettin Southern Showdown!

What a great day to play with toy trucks. Thanks to harvo for putting on a great event today, burgers were great randy! Had a blast hanging out with everyone today it's been awhile but great to see you guys again, scale run was a blast thanks.... Comp.. What can I say but it's never a dull moment when the pressure is on..lol thanks guys for talking smack to me on the finals course that's the best part. Thanks to tedrocks for helping me out with some foam set up at the last min. New truck worked great can't wait to Change it over to the new double agent.. Thanks to y-town for a great chassis set up.

Not bad for the first time out! Those uncut silver VooDoos worked well. Especially in those bad ass cratered courses. The Cup is gonna be a hell of a comp.

A big thanks to everyone for coming out and making this another great cookout. Sounds like everyone had a good time, which is why we do it all.
Any day hanging out with good people and playing with toy trucks is pretty great.
