I hear you bro. We are going to have to make good time Saturday. They close the gates at sundown and tonight the sun was pretty much down at 6.

Scale Info

Chad... please correct me if any of this sounds wonky.

To simplify the scale event (No Score Keeping while Driving)
  • 2 Groups (Fast Trucks) (More Scale Speeds)
  • 1 Group Runs at a time
  • 1 Marshall goes with the group to observe that the rules are followed.
  • 20 gates for the (scale speed group)
  • 25 gates for the (fast truck group)
  • NO touching the trucks except to hook a tow cable or winch to another truck
  • If your truck cannot be turned back over by another truck, or dragged the rest of the way through the course upside down... you are done (This helps encourage the fast trucks to go a little slower and be a little more careful)
  • NO running
  • Stop at the finish line in a line in the order you arrive
  • First 3 from each group to finish goes to the finals.
  • Finals course might change (backwards... etc)
Other things...
  • I'm coming up with a simple scale points component that will give advantage to drivers with more scale aspects to their trucks.
  • We will have fun with the starts this year. Mix it up every time.
  • The No Touching rule will be strictly enforced. Don't get disqualified!
  • The line between "scale speed" and "fast" is pretty gray. If you don't feel like you have been placed in the right group... explain it to me. I'll work with you.
Bear with us. It's a work in progress. For example... we have learned that Chad is a much better scale course builder than I am We may adjust and change throughout the year.

If this is going to be every man (woman) for him (her) self, we may need to figure something out for this.

Since you won't have a teammate to pull you back over, what do you think about stationing the group that's not currently running throughout the course as recovery vehicles? This way if you (Harvo) and I are in the same group, your time won't get wrecked by helping me because I'm an idiot and can't keep my truck on it's wheels.

I like it. Keeps everyone in the action to. I think we should do the scale as soon as we get the courses built and have the drivers meeting.

FYI. We will be setting up closer to the parking area this time. Walk down the trail to the first tiny wooden bridge and look In the creek. It's closer to t the parking lot and less climb in and out to the creek.

I'll be there at 830 to build. Greencrawler is going to help me with the dual course and Chad is building scale. Anyone is welcome to help.

See you girls there.
