Default So Cal Crawlers

I can't believe that us So Cal folks can't seem to get any kind of organized club / get togethers going. What's up with that?

Ok, Let's get off our collective azzes and do it. I know of several spots around the Los Angeles area we can go. (although some of them are raging rivers at the moment )

Also, I'm pretty sure we could build a crawl spot at my LHS. I was given the go ahead over a year ago, but couldn't get enough help to make it happen.

So who's with me???????????????

Post up.

I'm in the 91350 area code and I'd love to organize a club, once I get a crawler.

BTT

So that's 3 people so far.

Here's my idea to get things started. My brother in-law lives in Devore. There are quite a few spots in and around that area. One right next to his house, which btw has a pretty cool off-road track on the property for anyone that might be interested.

Once we determine who all is interested, we'll set a date and meet there for an impromptu crawl / barbeque. Then we could discuss organizing an event.

I know there are more people on this board from the area so come awn post up!

You can count me in, Just say the word. I am new to the board but I live in Acton, 10 minutes from Santa Clarita. I noticewd one of you is in the 91350 area code that if not mistaken is in santa clarita.
I've got 1 Stock Clod I can bring, A TXT-1, TLT-1, a John Boyer tube framed clod hopefully finished this week, ANd maybe I can bring out my bruiser or mountaineer.
I've got the toys just no one to play with. LOL.

i have found a gem! there is a huge rock garden down by the San Diego river. It has tocks no smaller them 2 feet in diameter. I'll try to snap pics sometime this week. If you want to come here to crawl let me know. I need 2 tires for my truck to run but lets set something up!

Wondering if anyone ever got together for a So-Cal Competition....my buddy and I usually just lurk in here- we help put together a newer mag...4x4 Builder. We have recently got into the small scale TXT crawlin' for lunch time fun on the breakwater rocks at the Beach in Ventura, CA....and since its too hot for the Hammer trails, and too much snow to run the Rubicon right now in the 1:1's, we crawl closer to home these days...anyone up for a friendly weekend comp? We are about an hour north of LA on the 101 fwy.

BTW- Jason, do you need any extra issues with the Feature on the new Carnage Crew buggy? Let me know.....

I know a killer spot up Angeles Crest Fwy. It's located up by the Mount Wilson Observatory. Next time I'm out there I'll make a vid. It's a mountain stream (which unfortunately throws the danger of water but it's still a blast) It's a drive for some I'm aware but well worth it I can assure you.

As far as any kind of get together, let me know and I'll do my best to make it out with the clod. Got alot of stuff going on right now. I'll be more free by mid august and would be willing to organize an event.

I live in Ventura too, which break waters, the ones by the pier or the harbor. Ever been to the river bottom near saticoy, when it is dry it's kick ***, and no salt water.
