| Nor-Cal Fall Comp Series - Event #3 - Hollister Hills camp & comp. Oct 28/29
We will be having our 3rd comp of the Fall season located at Hollister Hills OHV park this Saturday 10-28-06. Some of us will be camping at Hollister for some night crawling and 1:1 wheeling after the RC comp. I will be heading down on Friday and camping until Sunday in my Mog. Below is some information Sam collected. If there is anything wrong with it, it is his fault. In case you haven't been there before, here is a quick and dirty info moment. Address: 7800 Cienega Road Hollister Hills, CA 95023 (831) 637-3874 (office #) You must stop at the office first to pay camping ($10 a night) or entrance fees and get the gate combination. Once you do that, you will receive a map and drive further down Cienega road to get to the Upper Ranch (East Ranch) gate on your right hand side (~ 0.5 mile at most). You will see an old small white school house behind the fence and gate. To get to the campground I am talking about, use the map to navigate towards the obstacle coarse or use the poor map below. Actually the map below sucks a$$ so don't use it. You'd be better off finding your way there smelling a $hit trail in the dark while having the snot kicked out of you by Oompa Loompas. The competition will be held at the "Rock Quarry" on Saturday which is accessible by 2 wheel drive cars if you choose to get there that way. There is a relatively smooth fire road that takes you there. Once again, use the map below, but be warned that you may drive into a ravine only to be eaten by parasitic bannana slugs. Your choice. Directions to Hollister Hills OHV park as found on Nor-Calrcrc.com: http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/locations.php |

I’ll be bringing a recliner arm rest cushion, a box of umbrellas, some empty Cheerios boxes, a key to a Master lock, and a used but fairly priced piñata. Let me know if I forgot anything. -Sam |

Chinaman, I'll be bringing a couple Tri-tips for dinners as well. It won't be enough to feed everyone as a sole dinner item but I am sure we will be doing pot luck type dinners.

Oh, I was going to save this as a surprise for the competition, but I can’t wait to let it out of the bag. I found space on my crawler for even more duct tape. Just when I thought I was finished, there was another virgin spot. Sometimes I even impress myself. -Sam

That was a kickass trip. Too bad my crawler wasn't working right. For those who were there but hadn't met me on this BB yet, I'm Cody the guy in the maroon Cherokee. Here's a few pics of today's wheelin... the Rock Squeeze: on White Rock: Didn't even get pics of my own rig with the new long arm :( Maybe somebody has some pics of the comp Last edited by CreativeSN; 10-29-2006 at 10:55 PM. |

That was fun guys. Cool people = good food = great times. It was cool meeting you Cody and your friend. Thanks for the fire wood! The 2.2 comp was ok. I seemed to have a good rig but just could not drive it. Dean, Butters and I ran a scale comp on Sunday, it was odd that no one else showed up. Oh well, we scored some points for the scale season. Butters = -5 pts. Chino63 = 3 pts. Badger = 5 pts. Everyone else = 50 pts. I have not 1 picture from the comp. I do however have a bunch of pics from the 1:1 wheeling that I will post up shortly. |

Since I didn't take any pictures of the comp (I don't think anyone else did either) I just uploaded my 1:1 pics to my other site. http://www.badgerracing.com |
