ETRC Comp #2 January ETRC Comp #2 of the 2013/2014 Season Fort Loudon Dam... Starting off the new Year Crawling! Date: Jan 11 Course Building: 8:30 Tech and Courses open: 9:30 Fee: $5 Raffle Prize ! http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...1/P5210186.jpg Classes For sure we will have 4 courses + Final for 2.2 Pro 4 Courses + Final for 2.2 S Scaler (Run what you brung) course (25 to 50 gates) Directions: On I-75 take the OakRidge Lenoir exit toward Ft. Louden Dam. In just a few miles you will cross a bridge over the river. Follow the signs to the lock. The area is on the right of the bridge on the other side. The entrance has changed. I think you exit left off the main road now? You can see the parking area below on the right as you cross the dam. Just get there :mrgreen: *The only reason anything would change is if there is a really bad wind chill expected for the comp. This place will blow your face off on a cold and windy day. Please put me down for 2.2, S and Scale. I was at the dam dam just last week, and the dam wind was dam cold on the dam rocks (but dam awesome). With the amount of dam fishing line I had to unsnake from my dam rig...I think I got it all. Had a little too much dam fun with that! Torched, Sin, and I scoped a little for a scaler run. Seems to be some pretty good places. Edit: I will post specific directions for the entrance change. It's not hugely different, but different enough. Thanks guys, as always, looking dam forward to it. FYI, the property management folks at Northshore have done quite a bit of cleanup of brush and trees. Almost unrecognizable...almost!
