Yota - Sure, it will still look like a scaled down truck. Just a trophy truck. As long as the body stays resembling a truck, jeep or whatever then its good to go. All rock buggy chassis are allowed as they are just scaled down version of the real thing.

I'm just looking for some nice scale lookin' rigs. The more scale they look, the more apt they are to be in the mag. ;) |

Works for me. I have the same wheel/ring combo on a rig. Nice winch, BTW. |

Added a flyer to the first post. I'm going to put together a simple set of rules for the weekend. Basically the 2.2 open won't have restrictions on wheelbase, just apearance and tires. General rule for tires for this gathering: Rubber can be removed from a production 2.2 tire but not added to them. I'll get more sorted out this weekend. |

Wow, looks like this will be a huge event. Where are the out off town people sleeping? I see the site rents cabins/trailers year round. They even have camping sites with hookups. Might bring the RV/lab after all;) Take care, P |

Only if you are retired or active Military. As far as I know, JIA would be able to answer that. Quote:

My daughter's birthday party is supposed to be that weekend, but we might bump it up a week instead. We have friends in Hephzibah, so we'll probably stay with them. Mapquest says 45 miles to the site from there. So a maybe for me too. I'll be bringing the HL, and maybe a 2.2.

Remember, the main focus is scale appearance and having fun. If it looks like something you'd see on a 1:1 trail it's good to go. Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 11-08-2006 at 10:30 AM.

Scooter is correct, the cabins and camp sites are for Military ID holders. If any of you are retired military, active military, or military dependents, you can rent a cabin or campsite. The only way we're having this gathering here is 'cause I'm a card-carrying member. There's a sign saying near the entrance saying that the rec area is for active and retired military, their family members, and their guests.
