No snorkeling
We definitely want some water. For the realism.

There will be water, but unless your ESC is on the axle it shouldn't be much of an issue.

No snorkeling.

How many folks are bringing family? My wife and 3 girls will be coming, and it'd be neat if they (the kids) have peers. They're 8, 4 and 3, and they're not afraid to get dirty.

Scooter, if you want to submerse your rig, there's a very large body of water close by. We can do the "tide pool" thing here. Pockets of water.

Truckerbuddy, no problem with RC boats here.

Jeckler, my wife, 5 year-old daughter, and 2 year-old son will be here.

Jeff will most likely be following all the cool trucks and driving his Nylint.

Updated the first post with a list of hotel/motel/notel choices at the intersection of I-20 and Bel-Air Rd/Dyess Parkway.

Jason, Do you have a schedule of events. What is running when? Start times and all that. Just trying to make some plans. Need to know when the NC convoy needs to roll into town.

You know us carolina boys enter "waterhazard" in the search bar every time we log on right?! I dont have a 2.2, unless i can find some that will bolt onto a twinforce, but im gonna try to get down there anyway. looks like a blast.

Since the gates close at 10PM I checked out the sunset info for Jan. 'cause several guys wanted to do a night run. According to the calendar we'll have about 4 hours to run at night at this location.

P47Tbolt and myself are heading to this spot later today for some crawling.

Is there anywhere else we can go to do a night run that's not too far from here and doesn't close at 7pm?

P47Tbolt and myself went crawling at Pointes West today.

They close the gate at 10PM...it OPENS at 7AM.

Seems I didn't remember the time correctly.

Plenty of time for night crawling.

Regarding water hazards:

It rained here a couple of days ago. There are still pockets of water in the rocks. Didn't take the camera with me today but hope to make a quick trip tomorrow so you guys can see what the water hazards will be like.

P47Tbolt and I ran unprotected electronics and we both made it through the wet areas without incident.

I know a few of us that are putting lights on the 1.9's for this event.

Jason, Its not a good idea to run unprotected through the wet area. Know what I mean! LOL! :-P :-P :-P
