Hey JIA, the switch that is on your FJ that you use to turn on the lights from the transmitter, is that a Ram product?

Maybe I'm dumb (shaddup) but I don't see the specific rules for Scale4x4, at least what Jason pointed out (batteries on chassis???). Is there a specific post in that thread? Or is that the only difference.

It came with a RAM 35 if I remember correctly. I'll be using a series of microswitches for my lights.

Jeckler, the scale rules are going under revision. The scale rules will be configured so that the more scale your rig is, the better your score before you even start the course. This is put in place to encourage folks to build scale rigs instead of simply moving the battery from the axle to the chassis in hopes of winning the scale class.

Make sense? Just trying to keep it fun and make the rules easy to judge. Don't want Matt and Cameron stressing.

I was going to ask the same question about the 2.2 scale class. I didn't see any rules. I like the idea of awarding the more scale appearing trucks. This should be a fun event. I guess I need to get to work on my scale rig. I need a winch and some lights.

Jason, I am down for 2.2 already. Please put me down for 2.2 open and 2.2 scale. I will bring both my tlt rigs. Thanks.

Looks like a good size group of us is coming from NC. I can't wait for it.

Put me down for one of each...should have a true scaler running by then. Might bring my Super along as well.

Guys we should have the final rules anytime now. Jason is looking over the last revision made and finishing up his end. Soon as he sends the layout back to me and we have a final agreement then we will post them up for everyone to see. We should have something very very soon.

Yup, I'm trying to make sure that those that build a scale rig are properly rewarded.

P47Tbolt has a P4 that he drives. The P4 is more comp oriented than my Bruiser and can go places that a more scale vehicle won't.

For this reason I wanted to work out a way to allow the guys with rigs that have a comp style chassis to run in the scale class...as long as their rig LOOKS scale.

Negative points will be awarded for the following:

Hard body
Working winch
Working lights
Leaf springs
Roof Racks/toolboxes (these must carry some sort of load. Backpacks, sleeping bags, spare tire, etc..)
Functional spare

So a rig in the scale class that has all of those items will start the course with a -6.

Roy's P4, which has a spare tire and lights, will start with a -2.
