2014 Awards BBQ and Scale-A-Thon July 12th at Horseman's Center in Apple Valley

Its that time of year again and we will be awarding our 2014 comp season drivers at our annual bbq and want to invite everyone and their families to come out and join us. This year we have reserved the camping spots at Horseman's Center for free overnight camping as we plan to have a night scale run after the awards and bbq. We also have a Scale-A-thon planned with some just for fun scale activites. Everyone is welcome to come out for a day of free food and fun with the families of West Coast RCC. Here is a quick itinerary for the day:

• 2pm-6pm: Rc swap meet. Come buy and sell rc related items. Bring your shade tents, tables and chairs.
• 2pm-6pm: 2.2pro Comp rig bounty climb courses free to run
• 2pm-6pm: Family games, bean bag toss, ladder ball, squirt guns
• 2pm-6pm: Free scale activities such as:
  
  • Cable Bridge
  • Teeter Toter
  • Rope bridge
  • Reverse hand driving
  • Winch Pull
  • Incline board
  • Tug-O-War
  • Reverse driving challenge

• 6pm-8pm: 2.2 Pro comp rig driver's awards and pot luck bbq
• 8pm-late into the night: Scale night run, campfire, over night camping

The lunar calendar says it will be a full moon and the temps should be warm which makes for an epic night scale run. Horseman's Center has big grass areas, kids swings/play area, bathrooms and some of the best rock in Southern California. Its a great family fun place and we hope to see everyone there. If you can only plan on a few events a year this one should be on your short list! Anyone able to help out with with bringing a potluck item please let one of the staff know.

That rope bridge is CRAZY long.... Ian and I will be there, Swap Meet, Food, and the Scale "Activities" sound awesome. We'll bring something good to eat... Not sure what yet, but it'll be good...
