This is my first time posting on rccrawler.com, I just had to thank all the guys for the good time my son and myself had at the comp on sunday. I am "the guy with the red emaxx" broken right servo arm and all. I hope to be back with a comp rig.

| Ditto Grover, you gotta come back to the next outing. I wanna see how those kongs do on the rocks! By the way, just a quick update, I fixed the upper link mounts and ran two batts. through it today and everything went perfect, w/o a glitch. Only thing is, the 1/4 scale servos bent the steering links I made out of 6-32 all-thread and rolled the rear tires off the wheels (I didn't have them glued on yet). So, 1/4" aluminum links are in the works. Also, the novak XRS works better than I had hoped! Everyone said that I wouldn't like it, but I think it works like a champ, so far. I thought that it had a "double tap" reverse, but it doesn't. I think it's just the Novak "smart braking" feature that keeps the operator from accidentally throwing it in reverse while going full throttle forward. Maybe the reason it appears to work so well is because the servos have their own power lead off the batt., and don't go through the esc for power? Will start it's own thread as soon as I get the dig. camera back. Later |
