BorderLine Crawlers 3/21/15 Comp #6 All Things Crawling Potluck Cookout
 

Hey y'all,

I posted this up as far in advance of the date as possible so folks could plan. I know our competition calendar says the next event is supposed to be at the Hidden Valley spot but I'd like to change that to something a lot more fun. The plan is to have Comp #6 at Horsemen's Center Park at our standard time (which means done by noon-ish) THEN have a big burger/dog potluck cookout afterwards (1:00 PM) and THEN hang out for the rest of the day and tear up the trails with all manner of U4/Scale/G6 style rigs. I have 50 gates worth of flags for starters. We'd love to see the West Coast RC Crawlers and SD Scalers and hope they can make it. Maybe even some of the AZ gents may be interested. Our hope is to bring together for a day folks from all of the crawling groups since we don't cross paths as much as we used to.

This event is completely open to wiveses, childrenses, friendses and petses (no reptiles or insects over 50lbs please). Please spread the word to fellow followers of the crawling cult. Please respond below if you are likely to attend and let us all know what you're going to bring to the potluck cookout. I'll summarize the menu in this thread as folks sign up. As we get closer to the day we'll sort out the final meal details.

We hope you can make it to a beautiful spring day of fun in the High Desert and look forward to seeing you there.

Hopefully we get a couple of folks to sign up to bring flatware (plates, napkins, utencils) and the basic burger/dog condiments. At that point we have the basics covered.

Is your grill charcoal or gas? I know there are a few charcoal ones at Horsemen's.

We have a propane grill.

If I feel like making things Friday night I'll bring a food-stuff. Otherwise just jake's buns and our grill, lol. I might be able to throw some ABTs together Friday night, I've never made them ahead of time before, so we'll see how that goes.

Very disappointed to miss this one but my sons very first little league game is at 10:00 and my daughter has her last volleyball playoff game at noon. I wouldn't even get out there until 4:00 or so and with no scaler or wraith up and running right now, it just isn't in the cards for me.

Hope you guys have a great time and I'm sorry to miss it.
