I'm looking at building a class I or class II truck for the events. can you guys post up a few picks of I and II trucks so I can get a good idea on how it should look. I looked ant the rules and I'm having problem picturing the difference. Thanks |

Main difference is tire size, there are more to it than just that though. Here ya go: http://sorrca.com/rules.php |

Yes its that easy, tire size class 2 are 1.9s and class 1 is 1.55-1.7 I believe This is a Class 2 rig |

On the rules it states no vertical chassis. sound like the are talking about the comp or old Ax10 type. but it uses the scx and bruiser as examples. does this mean you have to have a c channel type frame or is a BPC or to use?

I was just going to ask the same question that rockwalker did about tire size. I did read the SORRCA rules(more than once)for C-1 and it is a little vague, "it states that no more than half the tire tread can extend beyond the fenders" for C-1. So if i am understanding this correctly if my tires tread is about 1.5 inch wide 3/4 of an inch can extend beyond the fenders?? Or is it like Anoddle said 1.55 for C-1? Thanks, if any of you guys have any C-1 photos could you post them and the tire you are using? |

So I believe for C-1 is the fenders in the front have to be half way covering your tires. Like a real truck on the trail, the rear is a little different.

Thanks ANoddle I was going to get a set of 1.55 tires and rims for my C-1 build. I have a set of stock Axial Trepadors on it now for mock up, and they sit about 3/4 of an inch past the fenders in the front and back, about like the ones in your photo. Anyway I have never run 1.55s or a C-1 rig so this is all new to me, and with LERK running all three classes it just makes since to run at least two classes at a comp. Thanks

Any tire/wheel combination up to 4.19"/1.9. 1/2 tire coverage minimum front and rear. No tire modification of any kind, tires must be approved and not on the banned list.

I am free that weekend and will be there! It has been so long since I have been to a "real" comp. I have to change my mindset or I will point out by the 3rd gate. LERK has always put on a great series, glad to be back. |

Doubt it but I'm going to try to make it. Coming back from KOH Saturday so not sure how tired I'll be.
