I'll have the little 'ol Tot ready for action... even if it's halfway together  I haven't heard from many people but it seems like the fewer I hear from the more that tend to show up :) I'll bring what markers I have left..... Dan or Ryan had most of them but I have enough to lay out at least one course, maybe two but one for sure. I got chalk too, a whole tub full of it if needed. |

Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. hey here a question how do yall get the batterys to last so long??? cuz i wanna know then i can do it to mine cuz mine run down pretty fast sometimes but them courses look so long :flipoff: and i just wondered how they last so long??? |
Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. Quote:
Our courses have a time limit of 10 minutes..... On that second course we ran, I needed about 12-13 minutes to finish, that's why I got a DNF for course #2  It was a long and tough course. |
Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. oh aight i just wondered, what kind of pack do u run, cuz im running a 2400 is that a good one or should i get higher? |
Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. I run el cheapo 1400/1500 NiCd packs. Some of them are 7-10 years old too  Just charge 'em and go! |
Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. Sorry I didn't make it guys. I was out of town for 9 days and stayed up pretty late saturday night to get my truck back together. All was going well until I drove my tap in too far on a new tie rod and stripped the threads. I didn't have enough time to cut another one, so I gave up. I wanted to come watch, but didn't get my butt out of bed out of bed early enough (still on beach time I guess). I can't believe it, but I am now 0 for 3 on comp attendance. Ouch. Toyo, what took you so long on course #2? I laughed to myself and was wondering if it is because your truck is geared so low......just kidding. |
Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. Quote:
I was having trouble right at the start, didn't line myself up right on the first rock, had to re-position. Then at the next gate I fell into the Kong eating hole, another re-position. Had a couple of rollovers and then at about gate 6 or 7 I noticed that my rear stearing wasn't working too well. Turns out I lost the lower screw that hold the knuckle in place. This caused my right rear wheel to be pretty much dragged along side the truck. 3-wheel drive makes it hard... but every once and a while the knuckle/wheel would go back into it's spot and it's start to give traction. I got to the water crossing and went right into the deep side, had to re-position again! Got to the top of the water crossing hill, made the turn to get through gate #10 and just couldn't get through the "Hot Tub". I had my right rear wheel acting like an anchor and couldn't get any traction. My time ran up right there......    At least I filled the "Hot Tub" with water to give problems to the next set of rigs  8) |
Re: ORCRC Round 3 Competition PICTURES!! results to follow.. thats bout what i do all the time 30 min charge for all :flipoff: |
