| Alrigh folks... ORCRC's Round #3 for our crawling competition in the 2004 season is June 27th! First a few pictures of the rigs going at it, head to head..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rigs on the 1st course.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rigs on 2nd course... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks to those who showed up, regulars and the newbies!... Great time again!! 1st course wasn't too bad but did cause some problems for a few of the crawlers. 2nd course didn't seem to let many finish, just a nasty and time consumming course. I think only about 4 actually finished the course without getting the DNF next to their name. The 10 minute time limit went by way too fast!! Many more photos can be seen at, http://www.da-juggy.com/orcrc/2004/06-27/ Thanks again for the good time!! |

I'll have the little 'ol Tot ready for action... even if it's halfway together I haven't heard from many people but it seems like the fewer I hear from the more that tend to show up I'll bring what markers I have left..... Dan or Ryan had most of them but I have enough to lay out at least one course, maybe two but one for sure. I got chalk too, a whole tub full of it if needed.

Our courses have a time limit of 10 minutes..... On that second course we ran, I needed about 12-13 minutes to finish, that's why I got a DNF for course #2

| Sorry I didn't make it guys. I was out of town for 9 days and stayed up pretty late saturday night to get my truck back together. All was going well until I drove my tap in too far on a new tie rod and stripped the threads. I didn't have enough time to cut another one, so I gave up. I wanted to come watch, but didn't get my butt out of bed out of bed early enough (still on beach time I guess). I can't believe it, but I am now 0 for 3 on comp attendance. Ouch. Toyo, what took you so long on course #2? I laughed to myself and was wondering if it is because your truck is geared so low... |

I was having trouble right at the start, didn't line myself up right on the first rock, had to re-position. Then at the next gate I fell into the Kong eating hole, another re-position. Had a couple of rollovers and then at about gate 6 or 7 I noticed that my rear stearing wasn't working too well. Turns out I lost the lower screw that hold the knuckle in place. This caused my right rear wheel to be pretty much dragged along side the truck. 3-wheel drive makes it hard... but every once and a while the knuckle/wheel would go back into it's spot and it's start to give traction. I got to the water crossing and went right into the deep side, had to re-position again! Got to the top of the water crossing hill, made the turn to get through gate #10 and just couldn't get through the "Hot Tub". I had my right rear wheel acting like an anchor and couldn't get any traction. My time ran up right there......
