1st Annual Moab RC ???????
 

Well its time to get this event in motion but we can't settle on a name. Here are a few suggestions so far:

1st Annual Moab RC Crawl-Off
1st Annual Moab RC Safari
1st Annual Moab RC Jamboree

Any other suggestions write em up and lets take a vote. We'll run it until July 10th and then tally up the votes.

(In comming up with a name keep in mind that I will be pitching this to several possible sponcers (notice I wrote possible, its not guranteed) so it does need to be kept clean enough that the suits will buy off on it. It sucks I know :x )

Here is the funniest one I've heard yet:

PinchFlat - 1st Annual Moab RC Bunch of Crawling BITCHES!!! :flipoff: (A few of you will appreciate that)

Depending on the dates I would be willing to come, I don't think I'll compete, but I'll do live coverage for the site.

I also have a mainstream magazine that wants to come and cover one of the RC events, and this would be a great one to have them attend.

I can also arrange to have a professional film crew on site.

We are still working on that... but we are leaning towards the last weekend in September 24-26.

Can't do that weekend, have a wedding to go to...

Actually upon further inspection I'm booked solid until like the 3rd week in October!

Just remember that if you want a huge event, with sponsors, and media coverage you need to plan way far in advance. Many of the magizines are now booked for event coverage until next year.

Other things to think about are you will most likely need to get permits from the city, and you will need to send people out in advance to scout out locations.

I understand that it takes a lot of planning to get a scene together like that of a photography crew and magazine gig, which is why I was surprised that you had mentioned it.

Were just looking to put together a killer competition regardless of how large the turnout is. It's cool to put a face to those bad ass handles we all have :P I really enjoy the competition and seeing all the talent in action!

PinchFlat and I will try to put on the best competition as possible, inviting you all to come. There may or may not be prizes, but there will certainly be some bragin rights and some narly crawling.

As for the location.....We will have to drive out ahead of time and plan out a course. It will however be in the town of Moab within a short drive.

Now how about that name...... :?:

hey im in ca now but in 3 or 4 days will be going back to moad and a frend of mine has a geko crawler he will be ther this mouth on the 17th and we are going for a crawl if u make it up to moab at the 17th or any date this mouth call my cell at (714) 337-8705 ask for danny. if im not ther leave your # and ill call you asap. i know moad real good iv been going ther 4 or 5 summers in a row for real 1:1 rock playing and iv been on every trail exept behind the rocks wich we will do next week.

im back from moab but im ready to go back so i need a moad craw date. is ther any more info. ow and if you brake a tub frame whale ther i know a guy at moad 4x4 outpost who can tig it he tiged my frame. depending on how many jonts are broke it can go from 10 to 60$ mine was 60 beacuse i had him add 2 bars and fix 5 or 6 jopints so it was a fare price it hink.
