| MWRCA Comp #5 Des Moines, IA
Nov 18th, Any problems with that date and you? Let me know by the end of the week. Final comp of the 2007 season, I had it set for the 4th of November but I need to buy sometime to talk with vendors about prize donations. Comp will be at Saylorville lake Des moines, IA |

That makes it a bit easier for me, as 3 weekends in a row would have been pushing it. Ben let me know if you want me to weld you guys up a set of gate jigs like we have. With the date moved back, I have plenty of time to cut and weld a set up for you. I have the steel as well.

Yeah if you get sometime whip one up. Zach is selling out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:L:LCA:US:1123 He's going stick. Just tired of the limited flex, high COG and funny handling. He's thinking about torsion, but also like the better stick design. Last edited by Mnster; 10-23-2007 at 11:14 PM. |

I told him to whip up a torsion for the next comp. Then when he has time over the winter, build a good stick that can win everytime.:-P If we get enough prizes I'd like to have a 1st place prize session for the day of comp and not just the whole season. That way even if your Zach and your in last place you have a chance to kick butt and bring something home this time around. Also maybe we should run a large amount of courses in super as so the points intake is greater so you guys have a chance of catching me. It all depends on how many competitors will show up and how many people help keep the event moving. No trophies this year, our ones from last year we so lame they just sort of look like clutter hanging in the shop. Maybe I can out print a paper or something. |

Sounds good to me, I'd like to see some real crawlers in action. I'll bring my trail rig, it's not very competitive, but it's fun to drive.

Troy, how'd yours go? Thinking about buying a replacement and sending the old one in under the new ones warrenty. Can't determine what exactly is wrong with it though. It sometimes won't respond to transmitter inputs at times. It's not exactly something you can replicate everytime you turn the wheel. Also seems a little weak at times. Quote:
You drive consistantly. Zach took a tape measure to your truck and made a clone except painted flat black. It's almost ready to run after 15 minutes of work. Didn't know you had a 17 1/2 WB it's longer then mine by 3/4. Was bored today and swapped out your broken knuckle. I'm proud to tell you all that TCS Crawler Store is in on the prizes yet again this year. TCS can't be beat for local club support. Also working out a awesome prize deal with RC SLOT. Remember those two cool guys that came to our comp a while back? http://www.rcslot.com/blog/midwest-r...mpetition.html Anyways, they just became vendors and have a whole slew of crawler stuff, check them out. The prices are right and because they are some what close I can imagine the shipping being fast. I'll give more details on prizes once I get more information. Glad to see all of you MN guys planning on coming down. | |||

Ben, my 5955 seemed to grow gradually weaker, then just quit working all together. No smoke or noise. My LHS said they would send it in for me, even know it's more then a yr old. I guess I'll see what happens. I took the 2nd 5955 from my Super, and put it in my tuber. The 2nd One still works like new. I just bought 2 new 8711's for the Super, when I rebuilt that a week ago So far, One comp on them, and man are they strong I'm going to have to go with the Integy Aluminum axle cases if I want to get full use of these 8711's, the plastic just gives too much. I've been using Bluebirds with 190 oz in in my 2.2 comp rig, and in my scalers. So far no problems at all, and for $35, I'll run those over 645's any day Nicklepimp is moving right around your next comp date, or I'm sure he'd probably be in on this One too. I'll be running 2.2, Super, and I hope to have a new 1.9 scaler done by then too. That little stream was just too much fun to play in last time Last edited by freetimecrawler; 10-26-2007 at 10:12 PM. |
