XRCRRRRS Colorado Rock Race 12/8/07

So we are going to try something new, ROCK RACING!!!! First race will be at Red Rocks Elementary rock pile. 9:30 registration 10am start.

Ideal rules:

So rock race class rules (heres what I am thinking).
-13.5 max wheel base
-2.2 wheels
-tire no taller then 6.5
-12.5 inches wide, no more then.
-rear steer optional
-no winching
-same body/tuber size rules as 2.2 class
Course set up and points lay out
-Single truck run at a time
-rope lines both sides outlining direction
- reversing will cost no points or time
- winner is determined by lowest overall time
- 3 courses per comp then top 5 finals course
- if ropeline is broken by whole truck, a time penalty will be given of 2 minute
- if truck must be rolled over a 1 minute penalty will be given
- no repairs will be given during a course run
-if course is not finished a 5 minute penalty will be given
-course will be 24 inches wide at the narrowest point
-Caution tape for rope lines.
-its a timed event counting up best time wins, but i also figure we time it depending on how long the course are going to be. (like 2.2).

Any questions, suggestions, please post up!!!

I'm interested in anything rock crawling, sounds fun!

Well, yeah :lol::flipoff:

I hope to have a running rig by then that fits the rules. Can I get an exemption if I run Shelly?

jason 11-28-2007 08:36 PM

Kris's event where we ran 2 rigs on the course at the same time made for a great time. It would also speed up getting a ton of people through the day.

I know I had more fun when someone was on the course with me.

That is why I want an exemotion  Could I just run her and not have it count for the standings?

Two rigs at once is hella fun, esp when you get to ramp off of them!

666 11-28-2007 08:46 PM

kris 11-29-2007 12:58 AM

So what about the rest of you girls?

You can use a 2.2 crawler guys dont have to do anything special, out of control fast may not be the way to go.
And once again HOBBY TOWN will be sponsoring this event!
1st gets $15.00
2nd gets $10.00
3rd gets $5.00

Grizzly4x4 11-29-2007 01:31 PM

I'll have to check the calander, I know we have stuff going on that weekend, it just a matter of what time.

I could just throw 12 cells at Bumblebee and call it a day I think. Or maybe rebuild the SW2ber, or............

TwistedXT 11-29-2007 01:46 PM
