I just turned 16 on June 16. As for your truck I will most likely just get my moms current car. I am in Auroras Seven Hills so car pooling sounds like a good idea.

Let's make this sane and easy on the gratious host, Dirk, well...just our host And at least give the man the decency to know how many people are comin, staying, blah blah typpe stuff. |

It's alright, I know most people switch to stampede trannies for their custom TLT's, so that's why I asked. My LHS should be able to get it in, or tower hobbies. Its just a tamiya touring car belt.

The more the merrier! I'm sure Jason and Bastard will go. I know quite a few guys from Pueblo and CO. Springs that will go as well. Let's see how many types of trucks there are before we make classes. As of now, a total open class is best. |

Dirk has it right...let's wait and see first. Plus, this is not being set up as a true comp. It is just a bunch of us competitive types getting together and having fun....and fun means a comp! Which of course I will win regardless Hey it is for my Bday and all....... If we can make classes cool. If not, then it becomes run what you brung! Just remember it is 90% driver and 10% truck. So classes will be decided on or about Sept 11th, which is not too far off. So get your trucks ready, polish up your driving skills, post up, and get ready for some good crawlin'!! |

Rock, I can't wait to see the tuber, and if I am there, it will be atleast one other 2.2 Crawler. Neo, what kind of crawler are you working on? You guys will have to post the directions again, and the rules... I know you can score points, and points are bad... like golf... and the last comp. had points a plenty for everyone to go around. |

My truck will look almost identical to Dirks earlier Digler. I have the same TXT frame and X axles. But mine will have an E-Maxx tranny, more traditional 4-link setup, and hopefully IMEX Krawler tires. |

Sweet! I might have another crawler there as well... Another mini crawler... In fact, looking at the course, this thing may beat all yall just because it can get into tight spots the other trucks can't I'm still debating buying the sucker, and making the mods may take awhile but I have till september.... Time will tell... |

whats up guys. i'm interested in coming up there but would like to know a couple things: How many people are estimated to come? If i make the long drive (or flight) i would like it to be a decent sized event. Dirk, you providing lodging? (and i don't mean the barn! ) Are you planning this as a competition from the get go? some of the posts made it sound like it was a competitive follow the leader, but i want to attent a full blown comp with times setup to start, rules, etc. just something planned as a comp from the get go. also, is there any way the event can be held at a location that is new to everyone? making it equal, apples for apples. hopefully fireman and myself will both come up. maybe we can also get another local lunatic to come up too! |

Sounds like we have about 14-15 people if you AZ guys make it. You can camp out on my property. Nice and rural. We can build a pretty good sized fire and get a little wild if needed! Just bring a tent.....but I'll be in the house! |

Closest major Airport is DIA (Denver International Airport), it's about an hour drive to an hour and a half from Dirks. Next airport, though not as big is Colorado Springs. I'm guessing it's about a half hour from Dirks. Closest Hotels will be on the North side of Colorado Springs, or in Castle Rock. Sorry I don't know any specific hotels. Here is a map, the red star shows about where Dirk lives. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...rch=++Search++ For those with wives tagging along, in Castle Rock there is a huge area with factory outlet stores, or a little north is the very large Park Meadows mall. (Park Meadows Mall is where Dirk wheels his 1:1 stuff ) And once again Dirk, I won't be able to go to this event I be in Mexico, sippin Margaritas, sittin by the pool, and banging my new wife! |

Well it looks like we will have a good turn out. Guess we can think about doing a real comp. Kevin, you gotta look at the whole post and see that there where a lot of people sittin on the fence and not saying yes or no to coming, hence the follow the leadrer style comp. But since more people are actually confirming we can start to think in terms of a real honest to goodness comp that you want to see. Personally, I want to get down with the comp, but spend some time doing follow the leader. Guess you are afraid the Almost Stock TXT will show you up huh? |
