I hope that creek hasn't washed all the rocks out! They've been having some major flooding in PG, hope it's all settled down by the comp.

I'll start the hype now. I'm tired of having my a$$ handed to me in 2.2 so I'm working fevershly on a new trans and chassis design, something I think will be a bit different than any previous design, with an ultra low CG, more ground clearance, (tough combination to come up with on a TLT) and weighted much mroe foward. Watch out 2.2er's! (well, the Clods will probably still beat me. )

I did check on the creek the other day. The water is fast but it is not up to the level of the rocks yet. They expect the run off to be over in 2 weeks. So we should be good.

Davkin... Yeah although your rig looked kick ass, a bit of chassis and CG tweaking will benfit the performance a ton. Can't wait to see it. I always enjoy what people come up with.

Default Well....

Then your going to love the my new TLT design. Very low profile, great articulation and super stable. I wanted all the electronics to be below the top of the tires and to have all the electronics on the same horizontal plane. It's not perfect but its really coming along.

Lets try to do a Cross Country ride after this comp.....

Ya, I like the scale looks, but it's just not competitive that way. That stock POS Tamiya chassis doesn't help, (what were they thinking?). Beleive it or not I had made a few small tweaks to get the CG lower for Little Moab, but you guys came up with an even harder course! I've about taken it as far as it can go with that chassis and trans. You won't even recognize my truck at the next comp.

I saw Mike's new 2.2 tuber today, very cool. I was going to go with a tuber but after I had it designed I realized all that the tubing was doing was giving the shocks a place to mount. Well, it looked cool too, but I want to focus on performance this go around, so I elminated the tubes and came up with a simple frame rail design that mounts to the custom trans. Can't wait to hit the lathe Saturday!

Cool!

Did you hack into my computer at work? I guess great minds think alike. :-P I actually got all my electronics down low,(at least in AutoCad) except for the ESC and receiver, they hardly weigh anything anyways, and I gained 1/2" center ground clearance as well. The bottom of my motor is sitting at about the centerline of the tire. How low can you go?

With the 1.9's? I've about got my CC01 ready to go, Friday night it will get it's first run. Luke is making a 1.9 trials truck from a TL01 as well.

Looks like we're gonna get rained on. I've been working too darn hard on my TLT to let a little water keep me from showing up though.

You CO guys missed out. We had a ton of fun on some hard courses. The TLTs showed up and taught us Clods how it's done. Thanks again Kaetwo and Pinch!

The comps are on the second Saturday of every month. I think the next comp will be at Hamburger Hill in Elberta. I don't think that it's up yet, but utrcrc.com should have the info up soon, or get a hold of Pinch or Kaetwo.
