One last shot to drool over...

Imagine having this terrain in your back yard (practically), only multiplied by a couple hundred thousand acres!

those pics show why my mom dont give me money. i would spend it on a crawler. she thinks that a rustler is enough for me. i need to have a truck i need to make my own and these pics should help me get a crawler.

It was awsome out there and we even got a rock surfing lesson by none other than me.

who owns the clod with the narrow camo body? how did you narrow it? i'd like to narrow a body like that instead of having to cut down to almost nothing so the tires don't scrub!

that's rons truck. he's not on the boards much. actually, i think he's on here all the time, he just doesn't post much. i believe he used shoe goo and he butted the two halves together. it's surprisingly strong and has withstood some good abuse. shoe goo is definitely the way to go!

Hey Greg,
That was my first try at narrowing a body. Everyone seems to say painting it is the hard part so I started with an Atomic body that was already painted. I cut it in half straight down the middle. Then trimmed each side down, you will want to do a little at a time because I cut too much and ended up way narrower than it had to be. I put the halves together and held them in place with duct tape on the outside of the body. I smeered about a one inch wide layer(1/2" on each half of the body) of shoe goo on the inside and let it dry for a day in the Arizona sun. One tip that I learned on this site really works great, use spit on your fingers to smear the sho goo around and stays nice and smooth. I know it sounds wierd but it works exellent. Just let me knnow if you need any more info.

thanks ron! i have a beater body or two laying around that i could try it on first. i have also thought about cutting a body in half and using scrap lexan underneath the halves pop riveted together.

sorry to jack this thread, but i needed to find out how ron did it!
