Default ECRC CRawlers Scale Rules

Can't wait I'm there.

ECRC Crawlers, Scale Rules!!!

Our Scale Rules are going to work off a point system all Rig start off with a 100 points. Every Scale Rig entered into the Scale Events will have to pass this point system to be able to run in the Scale Challenges. Everything will be based off the Body as it’s the baseline for all scale builds. The point system will work as follows, for very infraction of the rules below the rig will be assessed a 20 point penalty all rigs must have at least 80 points to pass. Good luck!

1st) Body, This is the baseline for the build and may be modified but all rules there after must still apply. Body must be 90% of the original or builder must supplied photo's of the real 1:1 he or she is copying or a 20 point penalty will be assessed.

2nd) Frame, A true vehicle frame is a ladder type so the scale rig must have a ladder frame or a 20 point penalty will be assessed. No Comp Chassis allowed!

3rd) Transmission, Any stock non dig tranny will work. A dig tranny mounted so that the rear drive shaft/axle is locked or disengaged will result in a 20 penalty. However, a dig tranny mounted backwards that acts like a transfer case and engages the front drive shaft/axle will be accepted and no penalty points will be assessed.

4th) Tires, All Tires must resemble a 1:1 tread pattern and not exceed 4.5 inches in height ( Tall ) and or stick out more then 1 inch from the body and or fenders flares. If this rule is violated in anyway a 20 point penalty will be assessed. No Comp Tires!

5th) Wheel Base, The wheel base must not exceed 11.5 inches from the 1st front axle to the 1st back axle or a 20 point penalty will be assessed.

With this point system and rules in affect builders will be able to break one rule and still qualify to run the challenges/courses we set. Have fun Building.

Note: There will be Challenge courses and regular Gated courses in our point series.

Course Rules:

Challenge Courses:
Challenge Courses will be timed, the fastest one wins. There will be flagged gates that the vehicle must pass thru to continue on the course. They will direct you into individual challenges that must be passed to continue, they will include Bridges, Tunnels, Mud holes and other interesting things so build your rigs to take it!!!

Penalties that occur on the course will have timed values and will be as follows.

Flagged Gates: The flagged gates maybe hit but not moved from there original spot or a 15 second penitently will be added to your total time at the end of your run.
If any part of the rig, person driving and or anything he or she is holding moves the flag from it's original spot it will result in a Flagged Gate penitently.

Touches: Every touch will result in a 15 second penalty added too your total time at the end of your run.
Any part of the person driving and or anything he or she holding touches his or her rig during the run it will result in a touch penalty.

Repositions: Every Reposition will result in a 15 second penalty added too your total time at the end of your run.
If the vehicle rolls over and can't be flipping sideways back over onto it tires it must be repositioned witch will result in a Reposition penalty.
The driver may reposition his or her rig but can't make any forward progress.

Roll over’s: Every roll over will result in a 10 second penalty added too your total time at the end of your run.
If the vehicle rolls over and doesn’t land on all four tires the driver must flip it over sideways without moving it in any other direction, then a Roll over penalty will be assessed.

Reverses: Every reverse will result in a 5 second penalty added too your total time at the end of your run.
Every time the vehicle has made progress forward then moves in the reverse direction a Reverse penalty will be assessed.

Regular Gated Courses:
Regular Gated courses will follow the same USRCCA 2008 rules as super and 2.2 class course rules.
