Thumbs up ECRC Crawlers 2012 Season Schedule

April 15th - Season Opener Scale/Wraith ... Rock Island (Norwich, CT)
April 29th - Season Opener Sports/2.2 ... Indian Leap (Norwich, CT)

May 6th - Sports/2.2 ... TBA
May 20th -Sports/2.2 ... Putnam Rotary Park (Putnam, CT)

June 3rd - Scale/Wraith ... Southford Falls (Southbury, CT)
June24th - 2.2 Connecticut State Rock Crawler Championship @ (location TBA)

July 1st - Sports/2.2 ... Castle Craig (Meriden, CT)
July 22nd - Scale/Wraith ... Rock Island/Reservoir area (Norwich, CT)

August 5th - Sports/2.2 ... 7Falls State Park (Higganum, CT)
August 26th - Scale/Wraith ... Burr Pond State Park (Torrington, CT)

Sept 9th - Sports/2.2 ... Beavertail Lighthouse (Jamestown, RI)
Sept 23rd - Sports/2.2 ... Rock Island Season Closer + Awards (Norwich, CT)

These are the dates for our Scored Series with the addition of the state comp. The State comp will not be used in our scored series like prior year.

This years series will not be a buy in type like prior seasons. We are able to do this from generous donations and our winter series attendance. All drivers will be scored per event towards the series finale, no more of scoring series drivers separately from everyone else.

There are 7 scheduled 2.2 and Sportsman events, you will drop 2 of your lowest scored events for the season. First drop will be after event #4 and the second will follow after event #6.

There are 4 Scale/Wraith events scheduled. This year we wanted to give more event excitement to scale. Scheduling the events separately from the comp classes and adding in the Wraiths felt like the way to do it.

Also be on the look out for our first New England Triple Crown event in the season. We're excited about being part of this mini series and hosting its first scored event of the season.

Any questions feel free to browse on over to our site and ask away.

Cant wait to see some old faces again and hopefully meet some new ones.

Google Documents 2.2 Series
2.2 Series Points

2.2 Pro Event Scores

On our forums theres a section called Comp Calendar. In there is a section called Scale/Wratih Class.

The rules are stickied at the top.

Just updated our on site calendar with all the events in our schedule.

Make it easier to find something for the weekends.

I forgot to add something about the Sportsman class. During our winter series we dont allow drivers to run both classes due to space limits.

During our summer series we dont limit you. Any driver can run both classes and have their scores count towards the series titles. The only limit to this is the trucks must conform to their class rules.

The Sportsman class is limited to shaft driven rigs with no use of a dig. Any Sportsman truck can run in the Pro class with or with out dig. No MOA Pro trucks though can run in the sportsman class.

Gonna be a great season for 2012 ....... Im thinking the best yet for ECRC but we'll let you guys be the judge of that.

No 2.2 tires in scale?

I plan to attend a bunch of these--scale, Wraith and even comp 2.2.

Going to try to make it out again this year, and hopefully stick around for the series this time (Sportman). Too many problems with the crawler last year to run. Looks like my Xcelerin motor was bad

The novak has been treating me much better.

More questions about tires and rims.
Quote:
Wheels - 1.9 wheel = 0 points
1.7 wheel = -2 points
1.55 wheel = -5 points
Is this correct, or is it going to change with the other correction? As it is listed here, if you're going to run 1.9 rims, you may as well run 2.2 rims. Maybe 1.9 and 1.7 cane be -2 and 2.2 can be 0 points.

Good catch.

I think at this point we'll leave 1.9 at zero.

2.2 will have a slight height advantage but when you factor in build differences they shouldn't have an overall winning advantage.

Added a link to the google documents with the 2.2 series totals for both classes. Ill have one up for the individual event scores.

Gonna also have one for the scale and wraith class too.

I just realized something... There are only 4 scale events this year, I missed the first do to my own stupidity. Now I see that the next one is the weekend i'm going away for my 1 year anniversary! POOOOP! Well that leaves 2 more and an awsome 2.2/ sportsman schedule to ease my pain.
