Question Small group from Danbury area.

Hello all. Have been digging thru all the infinite knowledge this amazing forum has to offer, and decided it was time to finally register!! Im from the Danbury area, and have been doing some crawling in the area with two other guys for about a year now. One has a scx10 Honcho and the other my old ax10 Rock Racer turned crawler. I have a mildly modded Wraith. We have mainly been running at Terrywille Park in Danbury, crawling and trail running. Just wanted to say hello, and see if anyone else would like to join us once the trails are passable again.

There is an Event at RC Madness (in enfield CT) this weekend. It would be a bit of a drive for you but it is a good time and you would get to meet a lot of people. There are a bunch of guys that do 2.2 competition crawling stuff that your AX-10 would fit into and another bunch of guys that focus on the scaler stuff.

It is Sunday at 10:00.

I'm in New Milford and besides crawling up here, I crawl down in Danbury on occassion (Tarrywile Park). Once it gets a tad bit warmer, I'd love to get together.

I also go up to RC Madness on Sunday to run scale. Not every Sunday, but pretty often in the spring and summer. On Saturdays, guys run the comp style crawlers. Both groups have indoor and outdoor setups.

I know that place and those guys well. I used to race with them up in New Milford at Xtreme before it closed. I've been down to Bethel a few times, but have yet to race there. I'm thinking I may run the off-road track a bunch this spring.

Ive got a whole new layout drawn up. Just need some man power and maybe a skid steer to make it happen.

Saturday my son and I are going to Wolcott Hobby's indoor track in Waterbury. He rock crawls a lot, but he's been dying to try out an indoor off-road track. He's six, so I'll also probably be buying a new servo.

Thats cool. Plans changed and I went up to Madness. Played around on the indoor courses with my rig for a bit. Are the outside courses there more challenging??

Had a good time out a Terrywille yesterday minus a stripped servo horn on my rig and one cooked motor on another guys moa. Got a good couple hours of trailing and crawling in. Cant wait till all the snow is gone!! Hope to see more rigs coming out. Its a great place to bring the family and dog friendly too(leashes required)!! Our immediate crawling area is very close to the parking area, and the loop around the pond is an mile around.

How's the terrain for 1.9 scalers?

In my opinion, the lower section, right by the parking lot, is perfect for both 1.9 and 2.2 scalers. There are a few picnic tables and it's actually a great place to crawl and just hang out. Last year they were blowing out all the leaves, which made it even better. It's shaded for the most part, so you can crawl there comfortably during the summer. It can get buggy, so bring bug spray.

That's the only place I crawl at Terrywile, so I'm not sure how it compares to the other places in the park people are hitting up.
