OCK Summer Series Round 3

OCK is proud to announce the 3rd event in our Summer 2015 Series!!

When: June 7, 2015
Where: Rotary Park, Putnam, CT
Kennedy Drive, Putnam 02620

As usual, we will be running the following classes:

2.2 pro - three courses
2.2s - three courses
Trail/scale class - two courses (we set 12 inch gates, basically class 2, but any scaler can run)
*We welcome any ability level and will accommodate accordingly.*

Course setting - 8:15
Tech/reg - 9:30
Drivers meeting - 9:45
Course 1 -- immediately following Drivers meeting

We're hoping to see you all for this second comp of 2015.


Our Scale/Trail Rules
Front steer only
4.75 max tire height (measured under weight)
Front and rear tires may not extend beyond the front and rear of body
Wheelbase must match fenderwells +/-.5 inch
Winching allowed
Bumpers front and rear must be present (this can be replicated by the body for no scale bonus)

Scale points max at -20
Hard body -10
Frame mounted servo -5
Metal front and rear bumpers -6
Metal sliders -4
Individual scale items -1 each
Full interior -5
Full driver figure -5

So it's pretty easy to max it out - just trying to encourage a more scale appearance

As it turns out I have a wedding to go to that day. I knew I had one this weekend but assumed it was on a Saturday.... Like when a normal person would have it... Looks like I am going to miss this one.

Thanks, I think I burned up all my mojo on course 2 because course 3 kicked my butt. Awesome day today!! I had a blast!!

Sorry I had to miss it, What were the overall results?

A hazy recap.

Course 1. was out on the smaller of the two outcroppings with gates 8-10 five feet from the street. Emily was the first to get to gate nine which basically showed the rest of the field the line. Dan R (Force5) wins the first course in commanding style

Course 2. was on the larger of the outcroppings. things get tricky at gates 4 and five with many crawlers taking a gate at four and a straddle on five. Getting to this finish was tough. Robbob takes the win on course 2

Course 3. This one was a big question in my mind. This course was set near the water on about 6 random rocks and definitely drew some skepticism. Gate four was a nice offcamber downhill will little margin for error at the bottom. The gate of the course was probably 6 which had a stepped climb with a right shimmy into a quick steering correction over the final step up??? (hope I said that right). Honestly can't remember who won the course (Robbob??).

I CAN TELL YOU DAN R (FORCE5) WON THE DAY IN 2.2PRO
