For an scx trans do I have to use 2 short sides or one long and one short?

See this in first post.
"The reason the front shaft is longer is to move the drive shaft away from the spur gear. This added clearance allows for the use of larger spur gears in order to gear lower for increased torque & smoother start up. For brushless motors it is critical to ensure a smooth start up with no cogging."

You can get two short outputs if you do not need the longer output. Axle & Transmission Parts

Easy their junior... I can tell by your join date you are young in the ways of RCC. Better brush up on your history son, before you try and hint that this OG copied someone. Your youthful join date means that you are IGNORANT of a very important company that was named Crawler Design Works. They were the originator of the extended front / long output design, as well as the 6mm & 8mm round size. Unfortunately, CDW as a business didn't survive. However, their legacy is that many of their parts and designs are sold by other vendors today allowing the opportunity for newbies like yourself to benefit for RC builds today.

1 Long & 1 Short must be together. That is the only way they attach.

Remember... Their are Male and Female outputs. One side has the bolt pass through, while the other side has the bolt threads.

Two shorts - will not work together. My short outputs are machined to be the pass through output.

That is correct. I forgot about that. My apologies. 1 long and 1 short.

Hey Eddie, are you going to run another batch of the outputs?
They are by far the best output I have ran and a must have when running Maxx shafts, the best combo out there.

There will be a delay. The machine shop had some equipment issues, plus I was planning to have this batch of outputs coated to prevent corrosion. At this point, I'm told it should be a two week delay.

It is for reasons such as this that I do not do pre-orders and big announcements for products not available. Sorry for the delay & I will keep you posted.

Things happen out of your hands - you just announced the delay.
Nothing more could be asked for from one of the best Vendors we have.
